That DA2 was going to be about someone else than the warden the dev's made pretty clear with the amount of downtalking of continuations with "dragon age is about stories in thedas and not the warden" so its not such a huge shocker. Still they had promised us in the epilogue that we would see more of morrigan and that the companions split up after origins but would see eachother again. This in it self can be seen as a gurantee that the story of the warden will be continued in one form or another, just that its highly unlikely that the warden is seen in DA2

Wouldn't it be worse then?
I can't just image to play a new story with my new character.. and at a certain point "BUM".. Leliana appears...
BUM??? Leliana appears without my old warden??? what???
BUM !!! I'll need to buy a new monitor... and to medicate my knuckles... of course
And I believe this would be your same reactions if you'll see Morrigan in a sequel but you are not again the same character...
The problem is not to see our old companions..but to continue our romances with our old personal character...

Well, isn't the mentioning of the old romances in the epilogue an indication that there will be something done with your Warden and your love? OTherwise they would most probably simply left out that information.



And i do wonder, the more i think about it, why nothing of this rumor has spread yet. Maria is rather well known, and rumors from her should spread pretty quickly, but until now, nothing.



Well, first of all, i will focus on the good news in Awakening when i see them, then i take some time to enjoy that warm happy feeling, and then i will worry what will happen next.

Actually there are two different thoughts in players community



- Players who were satisfied about the first chapter ending who said.. Ok.. My character left in the sunset with Leliana (Zevran) or my character is Queen and married Alistair... They say "I can be happy of this... Let's begin a new adventure"



- Players who are unsatisfied about the ending with Morrigan who ask to continue their adventure in order to see an happy ending with her, and therefore don't cares what they are going to do with other romances...



Both thoughts are selfish, and both are rights.. One of this two will be disappointed...

Time will tell who will be rewarded....

Hi Guys.  Just wanted to pop back on & see how the conversation is going.

I have to reiterate what Twiggles has said. As I drove into work this morning, I thought that perhaps my posts might be too pessimistic. Although some of the conversation levels aren't like the original, there are still the random conversations between NPCs and they are quite funny. The interactions between Oghren & Anders are very funny. The discussion of mages wearing robes is classic. Anders is a match for Oghren.

I am enjoying playing the game so far.  It is nowhere near the SoZ level, so have no fear there.

On a positive note, they really have kept the timeline in place so this feels more like several months after the Blight and not like the previous events didn't happen. There is a consistency to the events that are usually lacking in other expansion packs. Events that happened in DA:O are referenced in conversations in DA:A. So far, the previous relationships I have run into have been recognized. There's even recognition of events between Nathaniel Howe & my HNF, as there should be. Fergus was mention in an NPC conversation and the Cousland family name does pop-up, so from that standpoint, I give my kudos. This expansion actually does feel like an extension of the previous events and not just isolated incidents.
