Goodafternoon everyone!
hmmm lots of Morrigan and Dark Ritual discussion I see... scary topic, usually snowballs into a huge threat on the topic... Will try to reply without going into the topic too deep to not cause a huge Morrigan discussion!

So, random though while I ws playing today...the Dark Ritual...one time save your life or does it have a shelf-life, so to speak? Do you think there'd be another Blight in your lifetime? If not, then you're safe from making a US decision? Thoughts?
I have the weirdest feeling something good might come from the Dark Ritual... Its rather unlikely they will use it as a main enemy, since its an optional choice, so the child does not have to exist in everyones playthrough. It could however become a side enemy, but I doubt that... Personally I believe if we see it again it will provide us with an option to solve a future problem.
I've once used the hypotethical example of say we have to go to the Black City and we can only enter it by using blood magic, to get there we have to sacrifice say 100 humans/elves/dwarves, if you did the ritual however the child might step forward and tell you he can get you there by either just sacrificing himself or he might just have such a powerful life force (being a god and all) that he can just sent you there without any loss of life.

I never accepted Morrigan offer... I don't trust her.. I never romanced her, therefore her offer seems to me just a selfish and opportunistic way to help her in her purposes.. and I didn't allow it...
My characters have always completely trusted Morrigan, there where no occasions in the game which gave me reasons not to trust her. The only thing really was that she didn't tell me about the ritual from the start, however like I've said before Alistiar also doesn't tell you he's a royal bastard until he has no choice but to tell you...

I know they write her that way, but my HFN gets her approval at 100 and Morrigan thinks of her as a sister. Her remarks are so kind & tender. Yes, her actions are done for herself, but you get to benefit from it too.
I agree... I've said before that Morrigan tries very hard to be exactly like Flemeth, however she is not Flemeth and throughout the journey she starts to find herself and form her own opinions.
If you follow her conversations with Dog, the talks with Sten in the cage, Jowan being in jail, The mirror gift conversation, Her comments on the templars that came to hunt for her and her mother... Then it becomes clear she's really a big softie!

Oh..yes.. she said also to my HFN that she was a sister... But if you really think so you don't leave me before the final battle just because I refuse your offer...
This depends on your ideas behind the reasoning of the ritual... I've always felt the ritual was more important to Morrigan than just get more power, she gives the impression its the only way for her to survive. She even calls it destiny... I'm sure that if Morrigan stood between you and solving the blight you would leave her as well!
