Oh yeah...saw the banner yesterday, but didn't really have a chance to act upon it until today. When I see it, I just keep thinking about the scene someone had posted re: Fergus entering the Landsmeet shouting, "Highever supports the Wardens!" That's what it reminds me of and, honestly, gives me a chill because that'd be such a cool scene!  (I have a tendency to imagine some scenes like mini-movies in my head which can be distracting at times. I may need therapy!  lol).

i you need therapy, i would need one too, and i feel sane. Okay, sane enough to not need therapy

"pokes own arm"  I feel like me. Is that what sane would feel like? hehehe

Time for some over the top melodrama :D

The lost of Origins conversations makes me feel kinda like this song (but in a milder - haven't actually lost the love of my life - kinda way :P)

www.youtube.com/watch

It's very pretty, but so melancholy!  Justin Hayward...is he from The Moody Blues?

Yeah, the song was for Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds musical (is even better with the narration by what sounds like Richard Burton B))

This just supports my case that I think if you take The Moody Blues Greatest Hits album you could turn it into a Broadway musical! This is a discussion I have with hubby all the time. He doesn't believe me, but I think it would work.

Don't worry being sane is boring and overrated, only those considered eccentric and the creative achieve anything B)

Edit: missed the goodbye, silly me, goodbye Vampilicious and take care :D

@ Samcelot. I apologize for not saying bye earlier. I started to feel icky, got headache and chills. I ended up the couch with my pillow, blanky, and took a WAY to long nap. Still having the chills and going back to the blanky. :)

Good night everyone..

Good morning all.... Gamestop called me two minutes ago... Game arrived this morning.
I wish they would have called me around 11 o'clock, not at 9 am while I was sleeping.... yawn.

Let's go to take my copy of the game...
Check for U later...
Bye

Well i got the game, am about 10 hours in. I can't say its bad at all atm, great loot, fun fights if a bit too easy though. I think the conversation system is not as bad as I expected, if given a game the size of origins it could work quite well. It makes you focus on the story and not the characters so much but figuring out what items to give is pretty hard ;D Got all characters except for justice atm and can't say I am dissapointed yet.

Well back to the fight ^^ Ill give some more comprehensive views once im done :D

Cool! :) So far I'm 7 hrs into Awakening with my warrior and thoroughly enjoying myself... Although I must admit I feel a little like my warden has just gotten 4 mindless followers who every now and then comment on something! :) But since I consider this a business trip my warden doesn't really mind if he doesn't get too attached to his followers! ;)

It's awfully quiet here. But then I suppose we expected that. Will everyone be checking in by Saturday?

Apologies for not being very active the last few days, had a busy week catching up on some work (and redoing some other work I thought was done grrr!). Yesterday I was playing Awakening all day so didn't get much time to post here either! :)
Am planning on being at least a little more active from now on again hehe! :)
Saturday I'm not sure about though, since then I promised my mom I would go with her to watch a few badminton matches that a girl she "babysits" (she's 11, mum mainly sits for her little brother but then automatically also sits for the girl) for is playing, so I'm not sure how that day will work out hehe! :)

Of course, you can equally use this and pass this one to everyone you like. That banner is also linked to our group: do you need the link to the pic or the whole coding of you you have everyting already?

Got Awakenings Tuesday, installed it Wednesday, finished it Friday early AM. Dragon Age Origins took much more time & strategy - can't say I got as attached to the characters as I did in the first one. Think I'll start from scratch & play DAO again - it definitely had more meat.

Haven't finished the game yet. For the most part, still enjoying it. Will wait until I finish (and others in our group to finish) before posting anything more than general comments.

Glad to see everyone is still around, although Sir Sam & Twiggles seem to be catching something. Did SheDevil give it to them? Be careful...this forum might be contagious! hehehe

Yeah.. I'm enjoying Awakening, but its no where near Origins quality... So far it feels more like a collection of sidequests. They're enjoyable though and they give me some more time to spent with my warden(s). :) The character attachment I definately agree on, besides the fact that I find the new conversation system as a stand-alone silly, there's also not enough objects to trigger conversations and they're easily missed if you changed the order of places you visit. I'm 7 hrs in and had I think 2 whole conversations of about 30 seconds each with Anders, 3 with Oghren and 2 with Velanna... Definately not enough to get to know them.

Good morning Vampilicous. That thread here is not only contagious, but also addictive ;)

How are you?

@Lion: see you got it working, love can never be spread enough
Though i heard there is an epilogue that is already annoying me as hell, but i won't say more to not spoil anything.

Awakening is sure fun, that's the best and the worst i can say about it. While Origins was addictive, overwhelming and captivating, Awakening is not bad, it's entertaining. But that's merely it. Instead of Origins, i realize i just play a funny game, and instead of Origins, where i played ti i fell asleep on the board, this time i play a bit and than turn it off and do something else.
It's not bad, but it's just one game which does not separate itself from any other game around

Hi Lion. I'm good so far. Hope your day is going well. Sorry about the re-work you had to do. That's always sooo frustrating.

Agree with your assessment so far. Wanted everyone to play it for themselves and tried not to let my views color people's perceptions too much, as I might like something that you don't, although all of us so far agree that the conversation system is lacking in comparison to DA:O.
