I'm not sure really, as far as I know my lineage is mainly Dutch, weirdly enough mainly from the far north of the Netherlands whereas I now live in the far south hehe!Curlain wrote...
I have to many nationalities in my bloodline (the fate of being a immigrant, I was born in South Africa ) Irish (from my mother's side, she still has a Irish passport), Cornish, Welsh, English, German and Norwegian that I know of, and then there's the South African influence. As food goes I like both spicy food an milder kinds, depends on the day and what's right for it

From what I know, Irish, English, Cherokee & something from the Mediterranean, but you'd hardly know it. English & Irish are dominant.

@ Vampy.. we American Irish girls get the look of the Irish with out the cool accent.. It's a shame. lol
Very true! Unfair. If I have to stay out of the sun because I have only 2 shades (white & red), then I should be compensated with a cool accent!
Yeah!!! me too lol I keep sunblock companies high on the nazdek
Just driving in the car on a winter's day can sometimes cause a little redness...terrible when you come from the land of blondes with a tan!

I know the feeling. i think I burn slightly less now. It may be due to all the sunburns as a kid though. I still have to be careful. I always use sunblock

Always wanted to tan as a kid, never could. Appreciate alabaster skin now, but not then.
And the burning thing is ofc annoying hehe!

This is America...land of the Beach Boys where tanned, blonde-hair, blue-eyed leggy girls are the definition of beauty. Tough at 13 to not be that. I had the blue-eyes going for me, but that's all. Too bad that you just can't appreciate those differences when you're a kid. Like Twiggles, it would have saved me from many a summer burn.

I look a little bit like my avatar (tried to make him look like me but considering the face creator has some limitations its hard hehe) so I don't fall in the blonde hair, blue eyes category either hehe!

Being dutch the ideal here is also blonde with blue eyes, but I barely fall for those weirdly enough hehe... Brunettes and Redheads are more my thing!
I've always been and did everything different though!

Funny...always attracted to tall, dark & handsome, but that's not what I married which just shows you that you can't be defined on looks alone. (He's not tall, not dark, but I do think handsome - has the blue eyes I like, too.)
