Most favorite places to shop.. newegg.com, Gamestop, Best Buy, hmm.... I like cooking stores too. that's about it..
I've heard that new egg is good. I'm such a doufus when it comes to computers. I rely on my husband...he used to build his own back in the day, but I think the technology has surged past him. I really need to get a new desktop so I can load all of my games. Grrrr....

Seriously. Building a new pc is WAY easier now. the hard changes are, making sure your hardware likes each other. that has gotten more complicated. Yet, not difficult to learn. newegg is awesome! great prices too.
They have a helper to compare hardware compatibility. Which is nice for those learning...
at least installing an OS does not require floppy boot disk etc now hehe It is so simple.

Hi everyone
I share your doufusness (doufusitis? doufusicity?) and rely on the kindness of others to get me out of the trouble I manage to get into, computer wise.
And I'm off to read what I've missed, which appears to be a lot, including a discussion on Morrigan...always love those.

Do people sometimes get bumped out from the site or is it just me? I'm logged in, but sometimes when I try to access other areas, I'm told I'm not logged-in. Sooo frustrating...
Not had that happen

Floppy disks! The ones that were the size of your head!
1969 (8-inch),
1976 (5¼-inch),
1982 (3½-inch)
they did get smaller! lol
I do not even have a floppy drive any longer. Not had one for a long time!

Oh!! March 1st... Awakenings month! 15 days and counting!!
I don't wanna lie.. I'm not excited about it... I tried to force myself to be excited but it's just impossible...
I don't care at all about this xpansion...
<hugs Max> I know how you feel. I felt that way too at first. In fact, I was furious. I had grown attached to my companions...some are especially close to my heart. But the more I have read the boards, reviews, etc. the more I've come to realize this is much like when a military member goes on temporary duty and leaves his/her family behind for a period of time. As long as I know the family is still there, it will be ok and I'll do my duty so I can return home.

So, I haven't read "The Calling" yet and only know the basics about Awakenings, but any idea where this story / adventure / world is going?
I have not read any of the books, nor will I until the gaming adventure is over. I fear it will be like reading a great book, then someone puts out a mediocre movie later.

It is interesting how the Architect has morphed from a talking darkspawn to that rather art deco looking guy he is now. Wonder how that happened. I am very curious about the Architect actually. I was when I read the book, but even more so now. Who is he? Where'd he come from? LOL...gah...I'm too geeked out for my own good, I know.

You should read them. The books provide background and history, at least "The Stolen Throne" did. From what I've read, Bioware is trying to create such a submersive world through all media outlets. Interesting idea.

Also lived in Texas and now living in Georgia...but have lived all over...from San Francisco to Washington DC, from the outback of Australia (my favorite) to Germany, and all kinds of places in between. LOL, that word is easy to pick up and very tough to forget.
