Terrific as always, Freckles! Everything you write is becoming canon for me - I'm starting to forget what details are yours and what details are Bioware.
I'm going to feel really old too, but it reminded me of that episode of Tom & Jerry with the little orphaned yellow duck who followed Jerry around asking, "Are you my mother?"
I guess that makes Alistair one sad duck, when it comes to family.

ETA: Did anyone other than me read "Hi, I'm your secret brother who happens to be a bastard prince; would you mind being my family?" with the same inflection as Mr. Roger's "Would you be my neighbor?" Or am I just going to feel really old now?

This is a sodding fantastic line. Great job as always, Freckles! (Yes, I know I'm a little behind the curve in catching up with your lovely story!)

This was just AWESOME! You are officially my favourite Alistair-related fanfic writer! It felt so in-character, and tied in with the game so well. Going to read Repercussions now, too!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that praise. I'm always happy to hear I captured his personality correctly.

Ok im a little late to this thread... posted over a year ago! But keep in mind i only even discovered the Dragon Age series a few months ago, well needless to say (but gonna say it anyway) i am so addicted to this game! (origins ofc) The story is so compelling, the characters rich.
Freckles, you my dear, are an awesome story teller!!!!! I started reading this short story and could not stop reading!! Beautifully done! So well written and so well thought out, obviously. I think you did such a fine job of capturing our favorite characters. I would like to think of this as Alistair's "official" story cause i really believed, got caught up in it. It had such emotion and invoked such in me. And all seemed to fit seamlessly with his character in game. I freaking loved it!! Bioware should hire you! Maybe then we would see a 3rd installation that is worthy of the story telling they had in Origins

Wow!! What a fantastic compliment. Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
I have a few others posted on FF.net under the same username. They're a little easier to read over there.
Thanks again!
