Some impressions (without spoilers)

Ok, i´ve played now my first 12 hours or so and wanted to share some impressions.

Good: Story, Atmosphere, Music, Characters, Origin diversions.

I tested some origins and was satisfied how they make a nice introduction to the world of the PC, as well as an interlude to the story. Also i think the origins were have diversion enough and some are even interesting enogh to play them twice at least.
Best one as of yet was the dwarfen noble origin story... very classy the high born noble who doesn´t even speak to the lowly scum ;)

Also the story telling with the cutscenes using ingame graphics are very well made.




Neutral:

Fighting and the tactic system

Now here is something that needs to be studied on itself. The tactics are a bit strange imo and surely not easy to use, but i think when you get used to them they will work quite well. I like the idea of different injuries if one falls during the fight. So "deaths" are not meaningless, but not quite so cumbersone like say BG. Otherwise i can´t really complain about one class to weak etc. they all have some nice features imo. KI is good but nothing great sadly.
Only thing which disturbs me is that the fight continues as long as there is no enemy left alive.. no matter how far away. This makes sometimes no sense at all, for example i had in one origin to kill two dogs alas they were imprisoned in their cages still, only caus they were marked red. Unnecessary.

Graphics

Sure, they are nothing remarkable, and some faces seem really unnatural, but i like them in general, and some sceneries are quite beautiful :)





now to the nitpicking:

The bows were mentioned enough, also the weapons on the backs seem sometimes rather... silly (both from their proportions as well caus of their "hanging in the air".

diversion in armor and weapons:
i truly hope this gets more throughout the game.

it isn´t noticeable if you have sucessful influenced npcs during talks.

the codex is kinda confusing with only the numbers of each entry.

Blood should vanish with time.

WATER!!! water/lakes are nicely made.. but if your character walks through them, the water doesn´t react at all.. no sounds, no movements, nothing. This was one of the greatest "faults" of the game for me as of now.


besides that, some minor graphical bugs and glitches.. nothing really bad, but it surely could be better.





to summarise: a really good game, which will get even better as i get through the story, i hope.

Maybe some other players want to share their impressions, beside all the troll complaining in this forum ;)
