Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd you seem to forget that it takes a decent rig set up to be able to even play a game like ME or ME2. SOME people cant afford to spent 2 grand every couple of years on a freaking new computer just so they can "think" they're better than the console community lol. Unless you personally are going to buy me said new computer every couple of years to keep up with things, you can take your "High and mighty" attitude about the PC version and stuff it.
FFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLL.
I got my PC when the 8800GTS came out (someone feel free to throw out a year for that) for $500CAD. A little more than I would have paid for an X360... Years later, probably more than 2, I'm playing Mass Effect 2 on the highest settings with an excellent frame rate. (At maxed settings 19x10)
(Quick Google says my card came out 2007-2008)
Best of all, it's a PC... Not a toy. It only does EVERYTHING.

Now, the PC game is easier. Mostly because there are extrenal ways around stuff like scanning for resources, and not getting to choose another weapon. The PC version also has a marginally larger lifespan as a game, as in about three months time you can come back and find a slew of new custom content created by the community, giving the game new life. Well worth purchasing it for that alone.
The PC version also has 1.1 patch, which fixes a massive amount of bugs fot the game, and likely many more patches will come more frequently on the PC then on the Xbox360.
In saying this, the games shooting, movement and other controls are designed with the Xbox360 gamepad in mind, even with the PC's key bindings it's still a little fidgty now and then. The Xbox360's release version was also a little more stable. The Xbox360 also has the possability of console only DLC, which as happened before and may happen again. It also typically gets DLC a bit faster then PC does, as shown by the Dragon Age DLC.
Beyond the convience factor of the Xbox360, it's really a matter of what you want. I honestly see little difference between my Xbox360 running 1680X1050 HDMI on my monitor and someone running on high settings on their PC, infact my performance in most cases is a bit better.
However, if I had to choose, I'd go PC. The PC has longer lifespan for gaming, and quite frankely long lifespan in a game is pretty much the #1 reason to purchase a game these days. If a community can keep a game going for years with fresh stuff, it's worth getting.

lol you know....It's the people who constantly say things like FAIIIIILLLLL!! and put so much emphasis on it that are actually the failures...Because, they just fail at life in general. How old are you son? 17? 19? 21? Because you sure act like your mental age is alot lower. Again, the only person here who is "failing" is you sir for trying to act all superior. The more you force the issue, the more you prove my point. So for your sake, you really should just drop it because all you're doing is making yourself look like an even bigger ass lol

Rofl. I'll FFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAAIIIIIIIILLLLLLLL you all I like. (And only someone like yourself would consider it a sign of maturity.)
Clearly you're deserving, seeing as how you've failed to post anything remotely on topic, with this particular discussion.
You've practically admitted that you're wrong when it comes to PC-gaming by resorting to extraneously long personal attacks. As well as your constant need to defend yourself from my apparent "superiority".

I have to say also that, after playing ME2 on PC (finished up first on Hardcore Soldier and then Sentinel Insanity and on the third playthrough) and having started a playthrough on Xbox 360 as a Soldier on Insanity I feel it easier than the PC! and I'm even a bad JoyPad aimer/user! I feel far better on the keybaord!

My Xbox has lasted me 3 years so far (knock on wood) and is going strong still. Actually, it's a little closer to 4 years and I have yet to have any kind of maintenence on it. Graphics cards, from what Ive seen, usually burn out in 2-3 if you push them too hard. That's only what Ive seen though. Given, some probably last longer than that but still...If I can make my Xbox last as long as a graphics card, and save 300 bucks in the process, guess which route im taking?

Fact: 360 is better than the PC all day every day for all games across all genres.
There's nothing wrong with X360 version, the PC version just has a lot of advantages, like better graphics, modding/editing, hotkeys (you can play without ever pausing the game to select a power) and you can turn your pc into X360 (playing on tv in a couch with gamepad) if you so desire. As for the requirements, they are low. I have old Core2Duo 1.86Ghz, 8800GT 512MB, 4GB RAM. Running smoothly maxed out.
As long as your PC can run Crysis on high (or maybe even on medium), there's no worries about console ports as your pc already has as much or even more power than a console. (unless it's a badly optimized port)
I have ME1 for both PC and X360, the PC version is just much better so I went for PC version of ME2 also. In the end it always comes down to personal preference and if those PC advantages are important enough for you.

The good news is that even a mid-range gaming PC from 6 years ago can play today's games just fine. Moreover, a modern gaming PC costs under $500 and can play games at much higher resolutions and much higher detail levels that any of the current gen consoles.
Even better not only does it have a better control system for most games, but it's also more flexible. When I play MW2 or ME2 I use my mouse and keyboard, but when I play Dirt 2 I do it on my big screen TV and with a wireless controller from my couch - all on a PC.
PC is the superior platform BECAUSE of the flexibility, the options that we as PC gamers enjoy and appreciate. From a range of graphics and audio options that allows us to customize the experience, to the choice of using a TV or monitor, a mouse + keyboard or a controller, mods, etc. Also more choices as to where and how to get games (all games can be purchased in a store or downloaded via digital download now a days) etc.
If you are a console only gamer you're missing out on a great platform and some incredible PC only games. I would say the same is true of PC only gamers, but it's a more understandable state of affairs. Apart from the Wii which offers something truly different, the PS3 and xbox 360 don't offer much that PC gamers can get behind.
All that being said console gamers shouldn't hate the PC as a platform. You should love it, regardless of whether it's your choice of gaming platform or not. That is because when the consoles finally come out with a next generation (in 3 to 4 years), the hardware and software API's that they will use will be time tested, solid, well developed and well understood by developers. Why? Because they would have been running on millions of PC's for years. Where do you think this generation of console hardware and API's came from? They were in the making on the PC platform for the intervening years between the last gen and the current one.
So PC gamer or not, be happy that PC's continue to push technology and API development. It's the evolutionary mechanism of gaming. It's where the tools that make game development easier and better are created and tested and used. And you will reap the benefits sooner or later. We all will.

Um, I call bull****? Unless you have been taking a ****** on one a graphics card lasts just as long as consoles, I mean are you aware that your xbox has a graphics card itself? So um, if graphics cards only last 2-3 years your xbox is gonna die soon so too... Graphics cards don't burn out in 2-3 years, anyone who deals with computers can tell you that, so either A you're lying or B you don't actually deal with PCs at all and don't know what you're talking about, in which case you might as well just stop it.
I'm well aware that Aradace is just trolling, but I'm stuck at work on a friday so I'm bored and..well... :innocent:
