Ah!  I prefer cords personally, as I'd forget to charge them up otherwise, and you'd probably hate all the entangled cords around mine! :D  Was asking as I'm trying to find a more durable mouse than the one I currently use that still has all the buttons, yours does look very swish though.

Apparently the CoolerMaster CM Storm Sentinel is pretty durable. Heard many good things about it.  Also SteelSeries IKARI mice are pretty awesome...Er...on topic because choice of different controllers is something PC has over Xbox.
Yeah. Well run with that.  The G7 is easy to charge, because it has a little square battery that has a quick release and you swap it over with the charger on the desk, also a quick release.  And thank you for your kind words. My mouse appreciates it. It doesn't get appreciated much.

Just been taking a look, not sure if I'd swap over to them just yet but they are rather nice looking.

Oh, and of course this is on topic, what mouse you have is important when deciding on which platform to play ME2 on. :innocent:

Pretty much the only reason to have a cutting edge PC is for the same reason to get a sports car. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

That
or you can get one of the top tier PCs now and still have it be a
decent piece of hardware a few years down the line before you might
need to ever upgrade components.

True, and is in fact what I do, d'oh.  Oh, and when I said it's the same as owning a sports car doesn't mean that I wouldn't carjack you for a sportier PC myself. :D

Your response indicates that you do indeed have a good PC, wonder if you'd notice a few parts going missing...

First pic is up in my profile. Paint.net is updating so next will be my couch. Now suffering from extreme vanity.

Not bad. I am not big fan of these small TV / huge PC screen setups myself, but jedem das seine. How is the Xbox 360 controller in ME2PC?

I just feel personally persecuted and/or crucified with topics like this...I feel like my choice of gaming platform is being looked down upon which in turn, pisses me off, which in turn reminds me of going through High School and having to give beatings and take beatings for my mentally handicapped cousin because of folks who wanted to act like they were better than her.

So yea, as bad as it sounds on me, it sucks. And it just burns me up to see this kind of thing. Yea, I understand you believe PC gaming is better...But also realize that it is your OPINION. Just like there are those that believe the opposite...Again, opinion. And as long as someone states that its their opinion and not try to pass it off as fact, it doesnt bother me as much...But when it's people who say **** like "Consoles are for techtards" and the like, it makes me want to....well...be VERY violent.

You have issues mate. If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Pc is always going to be better than consoles no matter how anyone feels about it. So don't go getting violent cuz some called you name. If you get that Emo then get off these boards. Pc's > consoles especially since you can use a 360 controller on a pc if you wanted to.

PC is better, but the 360's ok, I guess. How you can enjoy playing a shooter with a controller I will never understand, though.

I enjoy playing a shooter on the 360 because theirs a very slim chance of myself running into hackers like I would always do on the PC.

Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike and any other FPS you could name had a load of hackers in it and would just ruin the fun all together.

I have DA:O for PC and ME2 for xbox. I had ME on xbox b/c in my eyes the pc version of the first game was just a console port(and not a very good one at that). I pick games on either pc/console depending on what they were originally designed for. I had all my ME1 saves that I wanted to access and to me ME is a console series, even if ME2 pc was developed alongside rather than a port of the console version.

It's true that the pc version looks better, but it's not like the xbox version looks bad. It's still one of the better looking xbox games, and looks gorgeous on a big tv in 720p.

I think the people saying it's impossible to control a shooter well with a controller have never actually tried to get used to doing so. Either that or they're pro counter-strke players/min-maxers who turn off v-sync b/c they can't stand the 0.001 second mouse lag.

Despite the general consensus that my copy of ME2 is inferior b/c it's on a console, I've still played through it multiple times already and enjoyed it immensly. I'm not going to let pc elitists ruin it for me.

For the record my pc is capable of running ME2 maxed and I still chose the console version. That should make some pc fanboys head explode.

I've always preferred playing on a console. Wether or not the PC version is better, I just don't like playing games on my PC.

I tried. I really did. I've played shooters on PS2 and Xbox 360 and never got used to it. I felt handicapped playing them. I enjoy playing on both consoles and PC but some genres are simply better on one platform than on the other.

After two years where 90% of my gaming was done on consoles (first 360, but since mid 2008 mostly PS3), I'm now splitting my time between PS3 and PC more or less 50-50 - depending a bit on game releases schedules (it's been around 80% PC gaming for me the last couple of months).

Each platform has its strength.

Aside from serving as my main living room media center (albeit often streaming from my PC), I love my PS3 as it allows me a more relaxed and comfortable gaming session than PC (yes, in theory I could hook up my PC to my HDTV, but there's just no way in hell I'm going to bother running extensions cords across the living room and trying to juggle keyboard and mouse in my lap while I'm sitting in a recliner), plus in my case better sound as my PS3 happens to be hooked up to my best audio setup with external DAC, amp and expensive headphones.

My PC wins on visuals with higher screen resolution and usually AA+AF, and generally better graphics in most games (though it does get shafted a bit on some multi-platform titles, the PC version of ME2 deserved better textures than it got for instance), but the main reason I actually came back to PC gaming was because I was missing a few genres, first and foremost MMORPGs (not that I've ever actually found one that could hold my interest for more than a few months).

And then of course there's mouse and keyboard which are obviously very well suited for certain genres - although I don't feel shooters is necessarily one of them, but that's simply because I've gotten so used to gamepads that I have no issues at all moving and aiming in console shooters, and quite like the tactile feedback from the controller sticks and buttons, along with rumble effects in many games.

Sure, I can't pull off headshots as reliably in a console shooters as I can with mouse and keyboard on PC, but that's not really relevant when singleplayer campaigns are designed around controller use (and employ a certain degree of auto-aim) and your opponents in multi-player shooters are using the same input device you are.

I prefer the Xbox 360 for Mass Effect.
Personally I feel that the game was originally designed with the console in mind, like it is with DA:O and the PC.

Wrong. DAO was a pc game ported to console.

Thats what I meant by saying so. ME is for console as DA:O is for PC, check?

I have played both versions, and prefer to play on the PC. The graphics are better, and controlling things is a lot easier with a mouse and keyboard. I currently have my PC running on my HDTV and surround sound, so I can sit back and chill with my PC as if I was gaming on the 360. Just my prefrence, though.

I don't think PC is best for everything, though. I prefer to play BoarderLands on my 360 instead of my PC. Don't really know why, but I just like that platform version better for some reason.

Fact: 360 is better than the PC all day every day for all games across all genres.

My reasoning: I've posted it too many times to care to repeat it in the past two and a half years since I joined the BioWare forums.

You still have to come up with one viable argument, which is not about opinion neglecting your "fact".

Some people just prefer consoles over pc games which is ok because its what they prefer for comfort reasons I assume. I personally prefer pc games for many reasons quality, speed, control and mods. Put it this way fps games are better on pc. My argument simply would be response time e.g. get someone who's bad Ass with a controller vs. Someone who's bad Ass with a keyboard and mouse and kb and mouse will win everytime.

I suppose it's down to personal preference. I generally prefer strategy games, so I have a gaming pc anyway. When a shooter or an RPG that I want to play comes along, it makes sense for me to get it for pc rather than buy a console to play it. I have not yet seen a console exclusive that would convince me to change my mind.

On the other hand, I have a friend that prefers games like Assassin's Creed, Soul Calibur, and so forth. These games work best with a gamepad, so his preferred gaming platform is the console. When he wants to play a shooter, he gets it for the Xbox.

If I had to choose between versions, I would choose the pc because I prefer the mouse and keyboard control scheme, but this is just my preference.
