What you people don't seem to get about the armor is that I'm not supposed to have it! It wasn't there before, and I loaded a game and suddenly it's there! The unfortunate thing is that now when I start the game it gives me some warning message about it, and while I'm playing I keep getting popups saying that it can't connect to the network or something.

So you never downloaded the armour?  If that's the case then you got a bug.  If you did or didn't download it then all you need to do is go to your main menu where you can Resume Game, New Game, etc.  Click on the Downloadable Content then click on the Installed Content button on the top.  See if the blooddragon armour is on there n if it's got a checkmark by it then uncheck it.  N you should be able to continue your game without the dragon armour being in your inventory.  When you go to resume your game after you uncheck the armour you will get a popup saying do you want to force the game to load because ur not going to use armour, click yes to force game.  Hopefully that should work.

Edit: Unless you resume your game from before the Armour showed up then you won't get the force game thing lol

Also, turn off auto-login. There's no need to be connected to the network unless you're trying to download DLC or you just like having your online profile updated.

I think it depends on where and when you got it.  We bought ours new, but don't have blood dragon armor.  We got The Stone Prisoner free, however.

I'm logged in all the time and the only part of my online profile that updates is my achievements.

I can't figure out why this is.

Yeah, weird.  I was in game and it wasn't there, and without even exiting the game I reloaded an auto save and it was there.  I didn't enter a code or anything.  Lucky me I guess.

Funny that he doesn't remember entering his code for the BDA, though.

You sure you don't have it? A couple of weeks ago we had someone all panicky because he got the BDA but didn't get the SP. Turns out he'd never looked at the flip side of the card...

I bought it on steam shortly after the game came out, so I missed the preorder goodies. It wasn't there for my first game, and it wasn't there when I started a new game today, until I reloaded it again(without even exiting the game).

Since you bought it new on PC, you are eligible for Blood Dragon Armour.
Now I don't know how things work with Steam, since you guys dont get a shiny box. Maybe the steam install directly starts doing the DLC install as well.

But it's not the only DLC you are eligible for.
Check the wikia here for other goodies you can use:
Linky

Is there some sort of email from steam, or anywhere else where you can check wether they haven't send you a Dragon Armour code?
And in your DLC list that you access from the main menu, in-game, does it show up as enabled?
(or does it show up at all?)

I use steam, and I got the edge and the blood dragon armor automatically. Getting wardens keep and shale were a bit more of a headache, because there were registration problems at the beginning.

If it came with the game, regardless of purchasing on steam or not, I don't know why it seemed to magically show up in my inventory. Whatever.

I see it in the DLC section in game now, but I'm not sure why it was never there when I bought the game months ago.  The Stone Prisoner is also there now, although it appears to be stuck downloading at 0%.

It seems you are having connection issues with Bioware Social. Which pretty much everyone has, I think.
I really hope they can get this sorted.

Have you looked at the PC tech section of the forum, there should be some usefull insights on the stuck at 0% isue. Since I didnt have that, I don't want to give any advice that might be wrong.

Mate if you think DA:O is buggy I should tell you what Fallout 3 GOTY + Microsoft Live did to our PC. We basically gave up on a game we enjoyed because of its problems, whereas DA:O has been easy peasy in terms of glitches. I have heard that console is buggier, however.

Hm, well I'll look again, but as I recall we only had a code for Stone Prisoner.

If you got a code for the Stone Prisoner you are almost certainly entitled to the Blood Dragon Armor too.  If you simply didn't get the code for it, EA Support will probably give it to you.

Fallout 3... tried replaying that a while ago. Then I did my first mission for Moira, collecting food and medical supplies, and realized just how many bugs I'd have to reface playing the game. So I uninstalled again. In my spare time I just can't handle the frustration that comes with playing that game.

Everything's sorted on my end. Still not sure why it took 3 months for the DLC to actually download and become playable, though. It's interesting you guys had such problems with Fallout 3. Maybe it was just the GOTY edition, but I didn't run into any issues with the standard edition, and I played it a lot!

I had the collectors edition, not the GOTY.

But I had a lot of the usual problems: Moriarty walking off into the desert (as well as various other npcs). Walter stepping into a hole in the geometry and dying.
Random encounters spawning right next to mind fields and me only hearing a big BOOOM and seeing bits of the guy who'd tell me about Oasis raining down from heaven ... :D

At some point I just ended up with a list of "most common consol commands" next to my comp, so I could fix all the little trouble that came up.

Games are wierd like that. I had very few bugs in Morrowind while a friend could hardly play it.

Anyway! Dragon Age forum! Glad you are all ok right now!
