So I reached the third time the point where the Shadowbroker in ME1 offers "something" vs Info over Cerebrus ... (Story around Voyager Cluster on Columbia)
Now I have played ME2 and the Shadowbroker shows up again with Liara ... :)
and well, I suppose some did not ****** off the Shadowbroker in ME1 and gave away the Info about Cerebrus ...
Did anyone check if helping the Shadowbroker in ME1 has any impact on the Story with Liara in ME2 ?

P.S I checked the "search option" in here before I posted this :)

I remember helping the Shadow Broker in ME1. In ME2, there seems to be no mention of it, even with Liara. It's severely disappointing...but I did still feel regret for giving them that info considering they did not return any favors (wtf, they were going to give my body to the Collectors...?).

I have yet to finish my ME2 playthrough with a character from ME1 that did not give the info to the Shadow Broker, so I can't say if there's any difference.

It could just be that the save file from ME1 just doesn't flag that bit of the game so no content was created specifically for it in ME2. But there's still DLC and ME3 so who knows...?

I would be quite happy to bring down the shadow broker in ME3.

As far as I know, giving the information to the Shadow Broker does not have any impact in ME2. At the time, I willingly gave the info about Cerberus to the Broker because as far as I knew, Cerberus was an anti-alien, immoral and untrustworthy organisation. The Shadow Broker is also technically illegal, but he's also been around for practically forever and is an established part of the galactic political scene. Only a fool disregards that kind of influence; it would be wiser to try and get on his good side for the day when you need classified information of your own.

Of course, things didn't turn out that way, but at the time, I believed it to be the best decision.

I'd be quite happy to work for him/her in ME3.
Yes, (s)he supposedly tried to sell my body to the Collectors. But I doubt even the Shadow Broker was aware at that time what this would've implied. He/She might as well have thought the Collectors wanted to bring me back to live and would have the best chance of success.

It's well known fact that collectors have bought hundreds/thousands of people of different species from slavers and kidnappers, and they've never been seen again. The best informed person in the galaxy should be aware of this.

Shepard, however, was dead. I would also be pissed if I was revived and learned some ****** had wanted to sell my body to aliens, but as far as crimes go the Mass Effect universe sees far worse on a daily basis. Selling a corpse is trivial in the grand scheme of things.

Why are the people above me spoiling ME2 for the OP? You guys are talking about extra stuff he didn't ask for. WTF???

Except the OP explicitly states that he/she HAS played ME2 so we wouldn't excactly be spoiling things now would we?

Also this is a spoiler warning zone...

Kindly take your fail somewhere else.

I don't know how the favor the the Shadow Broker owes you will work. Only if you don't help Liara in Illium, I guess, since she clearly states that she's trying to take him (her/they) down...

The outcome is recorded and imported into ME2 in the variable named:

ME1_Light_Content_Subplots_SP124_CerberusFinale_Found_Files

But doesn't seem to be used in ME2, so expect the decision to involve something in ME3.

So it will have an effect. But just on the shadowbroker or on your standing with the alliance as well? It's great to have a game where all the decisions are not framed so that you know which way will be the best way to go in advance.

The first 3 times that the Shadow Broker´s agent said 2 me that he wanted the Cerberus info I said no... the 4th time I said yes... and he replied: "my employer will remember this the next time you need something from us..."

P.S: "Transmit the files to us and you will be well compensated"

BY COMPENSATED YOU MEAN SELLING MY CORPSE TO THE BAAAD GUYS?!?!?!

HOW SHORT SIGHTED!!!
