Just 5 new worlds? I hope they're very large with full stories and complex characters. If it's just 5 planets the scope of the current N7 missions that's a bit dissapointing.

It stil seems like Bioware is holding back too much out of fear from the flak they'll get from whiners. Yeah, there were people didn't like the Mako. There were also those (like me) who did. If you're going to do something, don't do it half-assed. Make 10, 15 worlds for the Hammerhead. If people still don't like it, well it's a free download and its now completely optional, so tough for them, they can skip those planets. The rest of us will enjoy it.

Finally some news!

And for the guy above me:
Dude... a lot of people were expecting ONE(1) mission only and your complaining about 5 new missions?
Really?

And to top it off it looks like the works will actually have....LANDSCAPES and real obsticales and terrian?
And your complaining?
Really?

I know we forum goers are picky but ... come on... this just makes us look like a bunch of whiny ingrates.

Personally I want to say:
THANKS BIOWARE!

They are probably using the Hammerhead like a Beta. They probably wanna see how people respond to it, then they will have more missions and options in the future depending on what people complain about.

Remember it is free. 15 worlds is a bit much to ask for wihtout it being a full on expansion. Otherwise I agree with you.

pop tarts... I was going to start complaining too. Still... this is but a scrap of meat from the big tasty bone we are promised. Where is the rest of it? Is is going to be like DAO and ME1? Either hire more people or concentrate on one thing at a time. What's the whole point of having DLC servers and a social network when there's hardly any DLC to speak of?

hhaha!! r you getting fed up by this too??
a scrap for DA:O and a few days later a scrap for ME2 and so on and so forth!!
cmon bioware!!!!

Why do people complain about free things. That's like a bum complaining because someone gives him 100 dollars and it's not enough. Seriously people, if it's free don't complain. It's not like you paid for it.

Would anybody really rather be paying anything from 800-1200 Gamer Points a pop??

Look at it this way, Bioware COULD bring out everything at once, it could be something like a 15gb download if they really wanted, but with the amount of people going "Wow, Cerberus armour, nice. Now I'm not going to touch it." do you think you'd be happy to have everything at once only to grow weary of it if it didn't work out the way you wanted it to?

Or would you rather Bioware give you these sweet little tastes of awesome that are spread out across years of devotion and hard work, and get it all for free?

Wouldn't you feel better if the content you downloaded was worked on with a lot of respect for us gamers rather than a cheapened quick-fix that leaves you feeling uninspired?

First thing I am going to do is have a chat with the illusive man, and see if we can expedite the reaper forming process so we can do away with all the childish B%*#!ers first, so we can allow the others who are great-full to play the dlc before they are turned into goo.

Anyways. The hammerhead looks way cool. I also second the comment on the wallpaper.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!! (Said in the manner of "Enchantment" from the special dwarf fellow in DA:O)

Arriving in late March, eh? Well, gives me more time to make new ME1 characters without LI's so's I only cheat the one time in a ME2 playthrough! :)

To echo what's come before me, Thanks, Bioware! Still curious about the possible ME2 DLC announcement happening at GDC. Could be the Hammerhead & Firewalker mission pack, but methinks it'll be something else announced coming down the line, maybe...

Appreciate the news, BW!

Cheers!

awesome! can't wait to play it, but i think i will pace myself and wait to see what's going with Kasumi, i've got 2 playthroughs complete and 2 more in progress, and i'd like to save some of this new content to go with a new party member. i'll just have to continue fartin around with WoW and maybe go pickup DA:O if i can figure out how to get 40 bucks together to go pick it up >_<

Just be glad you have something to download and play with.

Honestly, if they came up with a toolset/mission editor... there'd be gazzillions of missions by now.

I'm happy with it, ok, was hoping to have the DLC's sooner, but I see they have more to work on too and I can't forget that it's all free for cerberus network members, so I'll be waiting for the hammerhead, and hopefully you'll make more dlc's til the end of the year.

Just FYI: It's not free.

You already paid for it when you bought the game ;-)

Don't have a problem with that as long updates don't take too long (paying in advance is always burning holes in my pocket) but don't consider it free, just because it's delivered out of the box.

I think its going to be released in March so they can work on DA:O DLC so it closes the time gap in waiting for more DLC for ME:2

For reals. It just so happens BioWare makes the most difficult-to-mod UE3 off-shoot. Who knew.

Anyway, I'm definitely making a save before doing the DLC missions, just so when I finish, I can replay and PRETEND there's actual post-ending content.

Hopefully there's a good blend of story, gunplay and driving in the DLC. Rather than 5 driving arenas one after the other.

I have a horrible feeling these missions will just be corridors shooters, but instead of hiding behind nicely lined up waist high boxes, it'll simply be us in a hovertank. Also, it's 2185, why are we using a SACLOS missile system? Why not a smart missile system like the ML-77 or mass acclerator system like the Mako?

5 missions! Color me positively surprised! The timing makes sense, don't want to release stuff simultaneously with DAO...

Anyway, great news, considering it requires no extra investment. :)
