I just got into Mass Effect before the release of the second one. Anyway, last night I finally beat it ME1 on Hardcore and I just beat it on Insanity an hour ago. I'm so excited I had to share!!!!

Congrats! I'm doing the same thing, but I'll have to do a couple of extra quickie careers for Engineer and Adept before I hit 100%.
I also played ME a while back, but only 1 and a half playthroughs. Then when ME2 came out, I got it, played it, and since have been back playing the cr*p out of ME1 again! I have ME1 dreams now, but I can't stop playing. As much as I want to hit it, I'll be kind of sad when I hit 100%.

Congrats. 
I've started my 4th and final playthrough of Mass Effect a few days ago, on Insanity difficulty. (I know I won't be able to complete Pinnacle Station without cheating though, but meh.) After this, I'll finally make a start on ME2!
