A female friend of mine stopped playing Dragon Age to ask me about the orientations of the female characters in the game, because she felt like both Leliana and Morrigan were hitting in her character, and it made her very uncomfortable.
Funny considering that Morrigan on the contrary seems to be uncomfortable if female characters, whether you or Leliana expresses interest to her. But some people are just overtly sensitive as this thread's pretty well proven. Personally it just baffles me regardless of gender.
Join us in you are against same sex romances
Use your own threads to advertise, thank you very much. And be careful; you're just a few angry posts away from classifying as a hate-group.
EDIT: Ah, and you definately are guilty of spamming. Have fun in Bansville.

I don't quite understand the appeal of Thane, myself. He's visually interesting, I suppose - definitely got an Abe Sapien vibe going on there. But a sensitive ex-assassin, just trying to do right by his boy? Meh.JediMB wrote...

folks want most?
Initially, I thought Jack for FemShep, but after getting to know the character better.... probably Tali. (IJack, but I don't see her as bisexual, despite her past encounters.)
Thane for MaleShep, definitely. He's the best choice for FemShep, too.
I still prefer Kaidan, but Hendel Mitra sounds like he might be interesting as well. I have to agree with the person who was against introducing an m/m LI that was an assassin. Can barely set foot in any universe without tripping over them, it seems, but I think I've reached my limit.

LOL @ the bolded.
Still an assassin is better than jack squat.

It really doesn't have any negative sides to it.

I would really like if there were gay (or bi, preferably so both Shepard's can do it) love interests in 3 that would tie into your backgrounds.
"I joined the Alliance after I saw how you saved everyone on Elysium..."
It could add a lot more depth into a squad mate/love interest.

I'm not sure if I'd want to see an ascended fanboy in my team. I'm getting unpleasant flashes of Conrad Verner, here. <_<

Well. On the subject of Shepard's past...I think it would certainly make for an interesting conversation for a LI or other squad mate even. I don't see why getting to know each other always revolves around the other character and not Shepard. It seems like the squadmates have a "Oh, you're famous and I read your file so I know all about you Shepard" approach. What the hell? Isn't it assumed Shepard read your file too? How rude! Ask me about me sometime!Lightice_av wrote...

Hey, that could be very interesting - similar to the mini-quests for the different backgrounds in ME1. While the sole-survivor quest character was pretty damaged, there's nothing saying that they (or someone else) couldn't have been inspired by that event or later ones.cutthecameras wrote...

I mean, say you survive a slaver raid on a colony and go on a mission to rescue the galaxy from the Reaper threat, being badass all the way. You're a Big Damn Hero, and become more of one as time moves along. Some dewy-eyed young thing is going to get stars in their eyes from that, and they're not all going to be Conrad Verner.

Well, I mean it more in the 'this character can potentially have shared an experience with Shepard in the past'.
Perhaps for the Sole Survivor, a sibling of theirs could have been on your squad during the attack, so they also feel the loss Shepard does for her squad.

Yeah I wasn't discarding the possibility that something interesting could come of it; hey if anyone can pull it off it's Bioware. The thought of my character inspiring someone certainly adds some dimension to a potential LI, though whether or not I would find them appealing depends on how the character is executed.Temper_Graniteskul wrote...

Erf, with the ruthless past, I guess my shepy would end up with some crazy trigger-happy youngling... Oh wait, there's already Jack to fill that niche!

Conrad just asks his wife back on earth to put on a Shepard mask when he's feeling frisky, true story.

Well, he was on a trigger-happy spree when Shepy found him, even if he was rationalizing it as serving justice.

I was surprised that she thought Morrigan was hitting on her character, but I suppose her openness on certain matters can easily be misconstrued as such if you're already feeling weird about Leliana.
I only had to explain the situation to her, though, and tell a bit more about how the game's romances worked, and she could keep on playing. It's not that she has anything against homosexuality, but rather that she takes the game seriously enough that she wouldn't want to put herself into that situation. (Probably as much for the characters as herself.

Well, the LI's role could perhaps change depending on Shepard's past? A soldier if Shepard was a War Hero, a field medic (or some such) if Shepard was a Sole Survivor, and... for Ruthless... I dunno.
