The Asair frame is a literal copy of a human female's frame. Other than the skin color and skin folds on their head, there is no physical difference. They look female, whether or not thet are. A straight human female would not find them attractive physically.

Many people who reply here do not agree with having more homosexual content and yet remain civil and polite. It is possible to have a debate and stay mature. Present your points and, when challenged, provide reasons as to why your opinion is more correct.

Or don't post.

Wow, you are pretty clever to avoid the censor. But you should know, people from bioware have actually said that she is NOT female, which trumps the game.

So sorry. Cry about it. You are pretty good at that.

Asari are of the female gender. I can't believe people are disputing this. It's not like we're talking about aliens in reality here. We're talking about aliens created by a human company...basically as space babes. As in female.

True. As a straight
female I must say that Asari look like blue chicks to, that's why I
can't find them sexually attractive. ( You know boobs, female VA's and
facial features kinda gave them away.) And if devs wanted argument about
Asari not being  females fly, they should conisder making smaller
breasts and narrower hips next time.

That is how it is defined (sorry for not using the proper sientific terms but english is not my first language )
If biology would use your definition of "female is not male" and "male is not female" not only would that present a circle argument , but also several all female species that reproduce by either parthenogenesis ( no male required at all) or gynogenesis (sperm is needed to start reproduction but the sperm does not merge with the egg and does not contribute to the genetic code of the offspring ) would have to be classified as neutrums instead.
The  asari way of reproduction can be classified as either of those and they are therefore female.

Oh and about all femsheps being bisexual...that's ridiculous. If that's even serious...not sure I want to spend the time finding out. Reminds me of the impression I get from some people that they think all women are bisexual or should be bisexual if they're open minded. Makes me want to facepalm.

But you should know, people from bioware have actually said that she is NOT female, which trumps the game.

The game Codex is the prime authority for the game world. Let me requote:

An all-female race, the asari reproduce through a form of parthenogenesis. They can attune their nervous system to that of another individual of any gender, and of any species, to reproduce. This capability has led to unseemly and inaccurate rumors about asari promiscuity.

Also, a link to Wikipedia article about parthenogenesis. Learn something about biology before making absurd arguments.

God its like I'm beating my head against a wall.
One person said that the asari aren't female, he also said Tali is Liara.
Is that canon now too?
Many other Bioware developers have said they are female and consider the FemShep Liara romance a F/F romance.
The game states THE ASARI ARE AN ALL FEMALE RACE.

Please, can you actually prove us wrong with evidence directly from the game you silly troll.

Don't get surprised if he brings up Liara's words on male and female. Apparently not having a concept of dimorphic gender equates to not having a female gender despite female EVERYTHING. D:

I agree; the only bisexual in the game is Kelly. In order for femShep to be bisexual the player would have to play her as such.

It's being disputed because it's patently absurd. A species with a genotype female requires a genotype male to exist. If neither exist, it's a purely asexual creature. There are species on earth that spend 99% of their time as female, but also have a male genotype. there is no reason for a species to be called "male, or "female" if there is no reason to make up the word. Asari aregenotypically  asexual.

Btw: I've met plenty of dudes with ******, and I've yet to meet a woman with blue skin or tentacles on their heads.

Samara? Shiala? Liara? Morinth? I realize these are all Asari but technically they are attracted to both male and female genders.

False! Completely and utterly false statement without a hint of reality. Here, read the damn article before you keep making your nonsensical arguments without a hint of understanding about biology.

They're omnisexual females. What else is there to say?

Gender. Gender is different from biological sex. Gender has a lot to do with a person's attraction. The Asari are female gendered. I don't really care to discuss Asari biology because I consider it to be ridiculous (mind melding) but I hope you understand where we're getting at here.

Well it doesn't really matter how you classify these Asari. They are quite literally attracted to male and female shepards.
the definition of bisexual:
(psychology) Sexually attracted to persons (but not only humans) of either sex.
either sex being male or female.

What's false? Name me a "female only" species on earth.  You will notice that all the species they list in that wiki(a horribly place for info, i might add) have MALES.

Obviously, the Asari argument is a touchy subject, especially when insults start being hurled around. Regardless of whether or not they are actually female, a female Shepard who is attracted to an Asari would likely be homosexual or at the very least bisexual, as the Asari are very closely modeled after the standard (in the ME universe, anyway) female form.

These discussions don't really serve any purpose other than to make me hate the Asari. The more people debate whether or not they are female, the more I start to hate the species entirely. Maybe it's best to pursue a more productive line of discussion?
