in fact, why can't there be two squadmates dating each other? do sqaudmates just wait around for shephard to hit on them?
Supposedly. What I want to know is why Miranda is willing to hit on Ugly Shepard.
Heh would be fun if you said the wrong thing to Miranda or Jacob and they left Shep for each other. Would be too funny.

But this...really...sucks.
Then again...at least I can be sure DA2 will have M/M. The first one did and BW is consistent at least.
The way they're going who knows?

NOOOOOOOOOOO
They're already considering "streamlining" the dialogue system!
(I love how they consider "fixing" the dialogue system but the things that actually *are* broken like the combat system, the ridculous OPdness of mages and the difficulty overly loud combat music that is not adjustible and the bugs are going blissfully ignored. <_< )

Oh, hell no. Like they 'streamlined' the inventory and 'fixed' the Mako for ME2? Seriously, what do they figure was wrong with the dialogue system?Ryzaki wrote...

Apparently the bouncy spolushion kiddies got mad that they actually had to talk to characters about things other than themselves to get the combat bonuses. <_<

I don't know what the hell is going on anymore.
Why the hell would you streamline the thing that made the game popular in the bloody first place?
If they should be streamlining anything it should be those bloody info dumps you get from NPCs not companion dialogue.

Hell, I don't even know how they'd streamline the dialogue in ME. Maybe you'd get the wheel with emoticons on it instead of text? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angel.png[/smilie] = blue text,

Sorry - we ended up a little off-topic. The dialogue streamlining discussion is for DA:O2, based on a differently structured dialogue system in DA:A. Nothing to do with ME3.

still have a job and be able to feed thier family then get fired for
putting a m/m romance into the game. I am glad the devs did fight to
keep the content in.
Truth. Its nice to know they cared enough to fight for it though. Thanks BW devs that did so. <3
Hugs and Star Wars Lightsabers for everyone!

I would HATE it if BioWare made any of the already established characters homosexual, well, because THEY AREN'T. It would kill consistency if all of a sudden Thane became bi-sexual. Now, if they want to add a brand new character, and make him/her gay/lesbian/bisexual, I'm all for it. I think the more options the better, and I would definitely make a Shepard to explore those options.
I do NOT, however, think this is something BioWare needs to go out of their way to add, especially if it can get in the way of the quality of ANY other part of the game.
Thane was always written as bisexual. They just removed it. The dev team fought to keep it in, but where threatened with being layed-off.

Gaider's thoughts don't sound too bad actually; so long as we're not losing out on conversation I'm happy. Then again, I haven't played Awakening yet, so it might actually be implemented in a horrible way, I don't know.

I played Awakening on someone else's comp. Game only took be about 10 hours to beat and I loathed the new convo system. It was horrible. I 'm pretty sure I missed half the conversations because I only had about 4 with each character (and only about 2 with Valenna) it was terribly paced. And...ugh. Just ugh. It was so irksome having to go to the keep or click on an object in the world to talk to someone. And those stupid conversations ambievent convos while traveling the world KEPT ON REPEATING. It drove me mad!.
Edit: Also it made me even madder because the PC version is so much better than the PS3 one.

ME2 has sold 1.62 million units through 9 weeks of sales. The VAST majority of those numbers were done very early on, before the controversy became widely known. The last two weeks of sales have been 20 thousand, and 16 thousand respectively. Its going down every single week, and its already so low its hard to imagine how much lower it could possibly get, but it keeps finding a way lower. On the other hand, sales of DAO are currently at 2.32 million units. As a means of comparision, while ME2 week 9 sales were 16 thousand, DAO's week 9 sales were 116 thousand. Its all about word of mouth. We're making a HUGE difference here, nobody in their right mind expected ME2 to sell WAY less than DAO, because after all, as they say, its supposed to be the 'more Mainstream' game, and yet what a surprise, when DAO gives the fans what they want and ME2 doesn't, now it is DAO that is a bigger franchise than ME, even on the Consoles!
Sorry to bore you with so many numbers, but my point is simply that we're making a real difference, let's not get discouraged. Even if the guy who cut our romances out of ME2 is inclined to do it again in ME3, its entirely possible that he won't be allowed to, thanks to our efforts. At a certain point the bottom line will triumph over any personal agenda one person might have, and I think we're rapidly reaching that point. Keep it up!
