You are absolutely right, BloodyT3hGreat, your spelling isn't the issue.
The issue is that you spew self-righteous vitriol for no discernable reason other than childish provokation.
I pity you. And I pity those in your immediate presence who must stand your close-minded perception of reality.

His typing skills are atrocious, and his spelling sucks as well. I tend to think Liara will return, but somehow it will be during the heat of the battle. Kaidan/Ashely, or Liara will somehow  rescue you, since you were paying attention to the enemy, and did not notice the Husk, Collector/New Enemy coming at you.

Please explain to me how they are "atrocious"?

Just because same sex romances won't be included in ME3, doesn't mean you should use "Spelling Grammar" as an offense

Until Bioware specifically states that they will not include m/m romance in Mass Effect 3, then I don't see a reason why we can't continue our discussion and keep recruiting members to the Fight for the Love group. We have over 650 members now. :-) That makes me happy. Woo let us keep our thread open and has even said that they have been reading our suggestions. That makes me even happier. Yay, us!

Read: "childish provokation".
Trolling isn't some kind of failsafe which grants you leniency from any possible retorts.

Please, ignore this poster. ALL of us.

I posted a question at the end of the last page about implementation. Any thoughts?

I absolutely agree that his spelling isn't the issue. However, it does seem that this sad excuse of a troll has not commented to anyone else. I do hope that they left, so we don't have to listen to his hate speech of stupidity, and ignorance just too satisfy his ego.

Back to the topic of others returning, I do think Liara will return in Me3 however I think it will be during the heat of battle, or Liara/Feron are together in the end, if we didn't romance her.

For Kaidan, and Ashely I think they will somehow rally the Council to do something too help Shepard in return. However, I do think they will be squad mate at least I hope they are in my squad.

I was away for a while, and the thread grew by about 100 pages in my absence. Can anyone sum up for me the arguments on implementation of s/s?

Last time I was here I stated I was against it being treated any differently to the way current romance options are handled, and that all that needed addressing was the current problems with ninja'ing, with not being able to let someone down easily (rectifiable via not having ninja'ing in the first place), and the ability to forge friendships with people instead of 'sex-or-nothing'.

I think that's pretty much where we are. Outside of the people who are just against any representation of m/m romance, the major concerns are still primarily about being ninja'd into a romance, or about the NPC initiating. There seems to be a pretty broad consensus on Shepard-initiated romances in general, though it's always hard to say whether NPC dialogue perceived as 'flirty' should be considered always problematic.

Anyway, and I say this to myself as well, let's not get sidelined talking about spelling. A deal of the pro-s/s posters aren't shining examples of high literacy either ;-)

You should be able to end a relationship at any time, and yeah friendships are a good thing. Might be fun if certain characters would only romance you if you took the less flirty and more friendship options and others would only romance you if you were flirty from the beginning. Could mix things up a little.

There's already a whole lot of anger concerning Liara lately.  Almost all of her fans are in a fury over what was said in the comic.  I just hope Shepard has a chance to make things right.  I've been in love with her since I saw her so I hope Bioware doesn't screw up the one sure s/s romance in ME3. :(

That's a good theory about Kaidan/Ashley rallying the Council/Alliance to help. It makes sense. It seems that lots of potential allies have been set up across the two games: rachni, geth, quarian fleet ... makes sense the Alliance/Council are part of that potential line-up.

I think they're going to have to bring Liara/Kaidan/Ashley back as squad mates - they hinted at it when they were releasing the info that they wouldn't be recruitable in ME2, and there would be uproar if we couldn't! What that means for the relationships, well I have no idea.

I'm still 100% in favour of Kaidan finally having his s/s dialogue left in the game for manShep. It would fit in really well for fans of the whole franchise, and be perfectly fine for those new to ME3 as well. I can understand if there would be a new gay/bi male character instead, but I'm in the camp that doesn't believe the arguments against having Kaidan fulfill that role hold any water.

Thanks for bringing me up to speed on the implementation thing. I have to go now (husband stealing the laptop so he can live tweet his favourite political programme lol), but there are so many interesting things that off-shoot from our s/s discussion re the implementation of romances and friendships in general that I think for that alone this thread is incredibly worthwhile and worthy of wider readership :)

Yes I was in the Liara thread during that conversion in the Kaidan/.Liara/Ashely fan group. I still have scares about it, because I like the Feron/Liara plot thing they put in too it. However, I fell madly in love with Kaidan during my first play through of Mass Effect. I too hope Shepard has a chance to make things right for those that romanced her.

There's no reason to think negatively. Certainly that recent interview with Hudson and Ray showed quite clearly that those guys have no answers. Do you think they 'really' want to be answering that question over and over again for YEARS to come? Its an embarassment to them and their company, and its even more of one every time they give another non-answer answer, and they know it. The odds of at least one of them eventually deciding 'enough is enough' and giving the fans what they want just so they don't have to deal with this controversy anymore would seem to be pretty good. So lets stay positive :) .

I still say the only evidence we need that Kaidan is gay for Shepard is the "Losing you was like losing a limb" remark on Horizon. I even ran it by some co-workers who don't game, and asked what kind of relationship they thought two people had if one of them said this after the other had been away a long time. 'Obsessive love' was pretty much the agreement, from men and women. (ETA: 'Crazy stalker' came up, too. But Kaidan's just so much more likable than Conrad Verner.)

Yes I thought they didn't that line just for female damn, Thought yes he is more likable than Conrad Verner, and Jacob.. I agree that it an embarrassment to them, and Bioware that they can't come up with answer other than they were trying to keep it pg 13. When did Mass Effect become a T for teen rating, and not a M for Mature rating.

I was like "...?" when I first
heard that line too with MShep. It is really odd to have Kaidan say that to a MShep...or hell any Shep that he's not in a relationship with. Makes him sound like he was crushing on Shep.

I didn't find it odd, but then I got the distinct impression he was into my MShep all through ME1. I was disappointed when no one came to comfort Kyle during his frustration at the stonewalling before Ilos. Just Joker, over the intercom. And even though Kaidan was kind of a twit on Horizon, I did feel like the 'losing a limb' comment fit - even with no opportunity for reciprocation from Shepard. But afterwards, no email.
