I assume there's a point in there somewhere.

Are there any gentlemen here? I was under the impression that most of us who regularly post on this thread are female.

ReconTeam, I will say this, you at least don't back down from a confrontation. A worthy adversary.

I'm a guy =]

Jacob's a nice guy. And nobody likes nice guys.Especially women.

Very true.

Actually I don't think this is necessarily true. Kaidan is/was a nice guy, and I do like that character.

All the Kaiden's I know have two things in common: Ignored by the ladies, and abused by their peers. Sometimes being nice is being weak, and people respond accordingly( that whole human nature thing is just so unaviodable.)

This will probably never happen IMO. It seems very unlikely that BioWare would add a feature that they would take that kind of fire for, only to satisfy a small number of players. Imagine the kind of flak from Fox News. It would be far worse than the ME1 Sex Scandal. Personally, I have nothing against the Gay Community, and believe that it is a decision to be left to the individual. I am opposed however to the individuals who parade their sexuality as if to flaunt it, and I'm sure you understand why this is the issue with Free Love for a good deal of the world populous. That said, I don't support it in ME3, and here's why. It would provide extremely awkward dialogue, would in my opinion cast a strange light over some characters we have grown to know (i.e. Garrus), and would add an unnecessary dimension to the game for the majority of players.

You asked if they are going to include one side, why not go all the way.

"two men still carries unnecessary stigma" That is one of the main reasons IMO.

There's a big difference between being nice and being a pushover. I know plenty of nice, strong willed folk.

And there's another difference between be nice naturally and being nice because you think it'll convince someone to sleep with you.

Is the whole "nice" thing relevant to the topic? Lord Woo may come over here soon.

Hey RenownedRyan. Thanks for commenting.

No one here wants to 'flaunt' anything. The inclusion of a couple of same-sex options in the game wouldn't mean you have to play them. Just as I never pursue any romance dialogue with Garrus.

We all recognise that there have been times when the way current romances (and this brings into account Dragon Age as well - I don't know if you've played that game) sometimes 'ninja' you - that is they sneak up on you when you thought you were just being friendly. That isn't an excuse to not include any same-sex options. What it is is a reason for the BW writing team to rethink how they implement ALL romance dialogue in the future to avoid it occurring in ANY romance.

That way, we're all happy. And the more people who get what they want the better, yes? :)

The purpose was to ask why, if female/female romances are obviously in the game, why not balance it out, because nobody against same sex romances would ever use what I mentioned as a point of argument?

I think you're at sixes and sevens with JD here, because as far as I am aware he supports m/m romances in the game, but is simply being pragmatic about the possible reasons why they are excluded at present.

So you like Tacos?

Really. Just put both the hotdogs and the taco's in there. People can choose for themsleves, as long as BioWare wants to market the game to discerning adults.
