Rational thought does not have anything to do with emotional consideration. Its reason or understanding. Me being unease or feeling discomfort about a gay guy hitting on me and not wanting a character like Zevran is rational. Maybe my reason for feeling uneasy around gays is off or I could have a dead point reason why Its not your business. My past is my past. NOW, allow me to say again I'm hardly have homophobia as I said many of my friends are gay or bi that you very much. Take your faulty smartness somewhere else.
Now back on topic I still support the same sex. Just want a quick turn off. Nothing like Zev where you have to be slick about it. Or Nothing like Jack where if you say no just friends they don't turn and say FK OFF...that would suck..

Of course you're going to lose approval. You're rejecting him! That happens when you turn down any character male OR female.
And not to mention its a measly -7 which frankly isn't that bad. Seriously you're complaining about nothing. <_< He doesn't bring it up after the rejection, doesn't continue to hit on you afterwards. Honestly what is there to complain about?
Its not like he goes "OMG You're rejecting me no wai!" the convo just ends and you get the: Zevran dissapproves -X

If he made you uncomfortable, big deal. He probably made a lot of female characters uncomfortable too.

Never said he didn't made female players uncomfortable. Just something didn't like. My point, that I was hoping I made a two post back was that while yes, I was off-ed by this advancedment I mainly don't like the loss of approval for telling him just friends. I know it was kinda jumbled in my first post...or was it my 2nd... Ah well point made now yes?

...So you're complaining about the game acting like its supposed to?
I got disapproval from telling Morrigan that death wasn't the worst thing in the world for pete's sake! <_<
And...you don't need to get everyone's approval up to 100. Its not a necessity. That "Point" system was just a way to tell you how your relationship was with other characters. Its not actually something you need to do.
(ended the game with everyone at -100 in one game) well those I didn't kill anyways.

You know something a lot of people I talk to didn't like, where I lost major points that I didn't care about.. Killing Connor. I did that in almost every play run what I wasn't RPing... Lazyiness. You know you just opened my eyes. At the end of the day, now that I think about it. I just found it hard to get points with Zev if I wasn't romancing him.
Why I don't like the loss of approval. I without romance I think the highest I ever got was somewhere in the 70s approval range...

Weird. I got Zev up to 100 without romance. Then again I took him pretty much everywhere with me and gave him all his gifts. Though yeah it does take much longer than if you're romancing him.

Wha? Ok I'm willing to reinstall DAO for this. How do you get Zev to 100% without romance. Even with gifts and what not that I find I never get much passed 70% or so. Don't want to fill the chat up with me and only talking. can you drop me a pm?

If it is a problem, at all, for you to be hit on by the same sex in ME or DA, then wouldn't it just be better if *no* characters, straight or gay, hit on you?

I see your point ma'am so I pose this. Player hits on NPC they like then that in turns kicks a flag where the NPC can return flirt :] Allows options for romance without flirt and romance with flirt if done right. Then Everyone is happy. About flirt or not to flirt anyway.

That seems like it could work, although that leads to a problem some people tend to have in ME where they accidentally flirt with people.
But, that is where colored dialogue could come in I suppose...
Still, it just kind of bothers me that people suggest all of this hand-holdiness when it comes to same sex romances, specifically.
I can see wishing for more clear ones overall, but not specifically just for same sex ones.
I am coming off kind of bitter tonight.

Not too bitter Soren. I must say I never did get that "I accidentally romanced two characters" Unless its someone like Morrigan it hit me a bit to late that I was romancing her xD. Was trying to get points for her next thing I knew she was at care giving me a ring lol.
As far as the "hand-holdiness" there was a topic called to flirt or not to flirt where I was like why is there a great need to love and romance in a game? I'd rather have more game action than game love. Figured I'm the only one who thinks that way. not that I'm saying take the mancing out. as its kinda helps with the RPing, and its a bit of fun.
