Totally off topic: Is it normal if you've gone without eating for 3 weeks to only be able to eat 2 bites of something before feeling full to the point of bursting?

Edit: I just finished reading Zero to the Bone by Jane Seville and The Warrior's Cross by Madeleine Urban & Abigail Roux both featured male protagonists who were BAMFs and were in a gay relationship. So yeah. The whole BAMFs can't be gay kind of seems a bit silly now.

Is this eating thing a hypothetical situation? If not, this sounds like a serious medical problem.

/me had no food an no choice.

I don't know...I just got some food from my mom and ate a whole can of fruit coattail (one of those small one can severing) and I feel bloated and nauseous. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna throw it up soon.

Edit: good thing is those jeans that were too tight I can fit now.

Did you seriously not eat anything for three weeks? How old are you? Do you even know how unhealthy this is? I know this is off topic, but your health is too important to treat this way. I can believe that you couldn't get some kind of food, even if there were financial or logistical limitations. And the fact that you are happy about the weight loss is a concern also, I hope this isn't an indicator of an incipient eating disorder.

Unless you know Ryzaki in Real Life you shouldn´t judge his / her actions.

Anyways, not eating isn´t necessarily bad. My uncle doesn´t eat for a week or 2 sometimes because he thinks it´s good for him and he feels better then.

It seems like a lot of people on this thread are just refusing to entertain the idea of compromise because 'the other side is just wrong'.

Well they ARE wrong.

As you get older, you will realize that sometimes being right is completely beside the point. Being right and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee out of a vending machine. Focusing on who is right is a good way to grind things to a halt. I'm sure that many divorces are the product of the parties placing their need to be right ahead of actually finding some kind of common ground.

I had...a spoonful of rice? That was after 2 and a half weeks had gone by though and I couldn't force much more down without getting the nauseous feeling. I'm 18. I couldn't...didn't want to beg and by the time I realized I had a box of rice and cooked it 2 and 1/2 weeks had passed (yes I'm scatterbrained)). And yes its possible not to get food if you're broke and unwilling to beg other people for it.

/shrug I had 4 pairs of jeans that I liked that I couldn't fit into anymore so yeah I was happy when I realized they fit.

...and I still fill nauseous...I really shouldn't have ate that much. *grimaces*

Though at least the pudge is gone. I was getting sick of my mom pointing it out.

Edit: I did have water though. Yay for fountains and old bottles. So I didn't go thirsty.

Besides it could have been worse. It could always be worse.

And what does your uncle's doctor think about this? You know what, never mind. You're obviously just disagreeing with me for the sake of disagreeing with me. I get it.

Lol I´m not. And to answer your question: My uncle is a homeopathic "doctor" (don´t know the correct english word) himself, I should think he knows about health stuff.

It was a rhetorical question, but thanks anyway. And I'm glad you put the word "doctor" in quotes so I wouldn't have to.

Genuinely scary Ryzaki.  And not eating for three weeks without dying is pretty much impossible. Jesus.

*depends on the amount of body fat you have. Its possible to go a more than month without eating (or in the case with my spoonfull of rice with a very small amount*

I have no desire to die. If push had come to shove I would have stolen something.

Actually it is. You can, at least with good health, survive 4 weeks or longer without eating.

Homeopathic eh?

I'll be honest. That gig doesn't fly with me. Not backed by science.

Ryzaki better see a real doctor or a nutritionist at the very least. If she's chucking up a can of fruit now, that is a sign of her being deprived of food for far too long. Yes this is way off topic but I can't believe I am reading this.
By the way, the longest I have fasted was just over three days. I'll never do it again.

I said I *felt* like chucking it up. I forced it back down. (which is completely gross by the way). Though I doubt I'll have the urge to eat anything else for today.

Really? Why'd you fast?

It isn´t backed by science either that using a parachute when jumping out of a plane increases your chances of survival, but it´s true.

Edit on topic: Anyways Mshep x Kaidan would be my number one mm ship followed my MshepxJoker (He wasn't actually an LI so there's nothing to "retcon") and then MshepxNewMaleLI

@ Ryzaki:

I'm a big eater. Hate going hungry. A fast metabolism and low blood sugar doesn't help. So it was a self dare, to see if I could do it. I don't have spare bodyfat and at the end of three days I was literally 'high' or perhaps euphoric is a better word. Didn't even feel hungry anymore, only perpetually lightheaded.

A stupid thing for me to do.

Oh. I don't mind going hungry so much. As long as I have water and either a computer or a game console I'll be fine. I do have spare bodyfat so yeah. Though at first I felt dizzy but after a while that sort of went away. I do have like one of those small headaches but eh. I've had worse.

Twasn't stupid. Just a test of will.

What we should keep arguing about the toggle? Granted its only been of topic for 2 pages.

...speaking of which I think the limit for OT is two pages so yeah.

Um...colored text anyone?

And the whole Incubus idea. Wonder if we'd have the option to see a pregnant male Shepard?

Though I wonder how a Joker s/s romance would even work? Maybe with the two of them talking about how they've been watching each others back. (And with some guilt with Joker for inadvertantly causing Shepard's death?)

A real head-scratcher, this one. A conundrum.

Seriously, enough with the debate on the efficacy of homeopathy. Let's get back on topic. I believe we were all talking about how we're right and they're wrong, and they should just stop being wrong and accept that we're right. Is that how everyone else remembers it?

Can't that apply for any debate in the world?

I think it was more on the lines of how a compromise wasn't be reached with the colored text yet somehow was with the toggle. NM the fact that the colored text solved far more problems than the toggle does. <_<

Pro s/s = Bioware is an agent for social change.

Compromise for s/s = Bioware just makes games. We have to relax a bit on our expectations.

That's where we were. Have fun boys and boys...er, girls and girls.
