I see we're back to the 'what gender are asari' debate again. For the record, I will state that at this point I don't care, and I think the whole debate is an exercise in pointless one-upmanship.
First time that someone hypothesised that they might have a penis though, which means that my Femshep had a heterosexual romance for once. And all thhose who romanced her as MShep actually had a homosexual one. Talk about S/S ninja romance!

How does Shep manage to be more of a Sue than both Revan and the Warden I will never understand.
Also: That deviant is pure win.
And for pete's sake the Asari are female.
Don't make me bust out the wiki quotes. <_<

As long as it's on topic, who gives a crap, really? It's just conversation.
And aren't most debates exercises in pointless one-upmanship? That's pretty much the way that these sorts of forums work....

But I don´t care for wiki quotes. Don´t force me to make an account to write some crap about asari on the wiki just to prove my point......
Anyways, I think it is sexist to make a species that is entirely female and not one that is entirely male. This comes back to the old feminist arrogance of saying men are entirely useless.
It´s not that bad. I mean, men are in no way more important than women, but not less either.
If Asari were a species consisting only of women that´d make BioWare sexists.
We don´t want that, right?
So the only solution is that asari are NOT female:P:P:P:P.
And yet again, NOONE has ever seen asari sexual organs, so you can´t know they aren´t hermaphrodites or males after all (well some people HAVE seen the asari´s intimate parts, but if you know the appropriate websites you can also find pictures of asari with a penis, sooooo......)
It is pretty sad actually:crying:
Nevertheless, we STILL need more homosexual romance options, even if you want to continue seeing Liara as one:police:

A typical asari individual has a blue to purple complexion; the gas giant Sharbluwas named after a famous asari soprano with a distinctive skin tone that resembled the planet's atmosphere. Some asari, such as their
representative on the Council, have facial markings. In concept art, Matriarch Benezia's are described as tattoos; however, they appear to be genetic as they appear on one asari's clones, and may denote the 'father' species (as Liara T'Soni, the daughter of two asari, has none). In the place of head hair, asari possess wavy folds of sculpted skin; aside from this and their skin tone, aesthetically the asari are the closest alien species to humans.
There is some conflicting information regarding the gender of the asari. Though they resemble females, at least to humans, asari are non-gender specific, with no concept of gender differences. Liara says her species is "mono-gendered—male and female have no real meaning for us," and, if asked, says that she is "not precisely a woman". However, in the Codex it is stated that the asari are an all-female race. The Galactic Codex: Essentials Edition 2183 says that "while asari have only one gender, they are not asexual like single-celled life—all asari are sexually female", and according to Liara they also have maternal instincts. They are innately different from humans for asari can crossbreed with other species and inherit certain traits.
In nice bright fire red text for ya!
Mono = equals one
Asexual = either a means or reproduction or that you're not attracted to EITHER male or females.
Male or female wouldn't matter to a species if you only had one or the other.

That is because there is no Liara for the Warden.
I want Liara as LI in DAO, btw, but that leads us too far off topic:crying:

So let´s repeat this: Liara is "NOT PRECISELY A WOMAN"!!!!!!
Forgive me if I´m wrong, but to me that seems as if I win:P:P:P:P
Liara agrees with me, and do you really want to argue with HER?!

No one is arguing that Liara is a woman.
We are saying she's female!
Edit: which isn't preciesly a woman!

A female can be of any species that has females. A woman can ONLY be a female human.
You wouldn't call a female dog a woman would you? No you'd call it a female dog! Its a female but not a woman.

But, according to this definition Liara isn´t female either, because Asari have no gender, so they have no females either.

Did you not read the bolded? It says they're MONO gendered. Mono = one gender. That gender is female. The asari wouldn't care if they were male or female because they only have one gender.
Edit: for a better example if humanity was the only species on earth (yes I know this is practically impossible). We wouldn't care about other species or have a term for it. Wouldn't stop us from being a certain species however.

it's the perception. They are female because that's how your eyes see them and that's how my eyes see them.
since they are computer generated alien people, they have no biology because they aren't actually alive so it's all based on perception
not sure it can possibly get any clearer than that.
