It's not part of my Shepard's personality - he hasn't displayed any sexuality at all. So - it wouldn't be breaking my Shepard's continuity.
*shrugs* Moot point - I have become disenfranchised with Bioware.
To those who are familiar with roleplaying (this is not roleplaying - it's a roleplaying simulation - which is sorta a paradox, but I digress) - Bioware has become pretty much a railroading DM, especially on issues they don't want to deal with (like this one).

Ashley Williams would have a problem with it, because she's a Christian, blah blah.
Let's stop trying to get BioWare into controversial issues.

Also, check rule #5 in the rule page. There is a PM feature. Just saving the mods time.

Way to completely contradict yourself. And it makes me a pinhead for saying it's not a good idea to get the game company into controversial issues? Okay, sure buddy.
In this particular case, I would state that it is much more controversial to exclude homosexual content than to include it.

Not just this game, but a boycott of BioWare/EA material.
Whereas if "movement supporters" were to boycott this game for not including homosexuality as an option, they would have to boycott every computer game and stop being game players or something.

Dunno about that, sales will go down in other conservative countries.

And why should BioWare care for a bunch of retards who still think like one did during the first crusade?

Joking aside, I meant no disrespect. But I do agree with Cootie that to omit homosexual romances is more of a controversy than its inclusion would've been.
And I honestly doubt that sales would suffer. Those opposed would probably come to rationalise that they aren't obliged to pursue a gay relationship just becasue it's an option, and purchase the product anyway.
Those of us who feel strongly about its exclusion, however, I deem far more likely to abandon the franchise should BioWare opt to repeat the formula.

As for it being controversial for Bioware to put in same sex romance? Uhm...they already did. In both games. And in a lot of their past games. It is not that big of a deal for them.

What would other countries do if there is a sodomy scene?
And I doubt people who support homosexuality would leave because the game doesn't include it, since those people tend to be more "open minded" than conservative anti-homosexual idealists. They will stay.

There is an easy way to find out how other countries would react to m/m romance.
What did they do about Dragon Age?

Depends on how progressive the country in question is, doesn't it?What would other countries do if there is a sodomy scene?
A majority of the western sphere would probably allow it, per appropriate mature rating.
I talk for myself and a few friends when I say I am more than willing to boycott. If the product does not contain content I deem important, what would force me to commit to a purchase? And I doubt people who support homosexuality would leave because the game doesn't include it, since those people tend to be more "open minded" than conservative anti-homosexual idealists. I'm sure it was a big deal for them in Mass Effect because they changed their mind about making Alenko bi. They were going to, then pulled the plug. So no go.

Something to keep in mind.
Bioware has put same sex romance in many of their past games. Kaidan was not to be the only bisexual one, Ash was going to be bi as well.
Thus far, the only cited reason for them removing it was time issues. They had to pull something, and the same sex romances were something that would be 'less seen' so they removed them.

So basically you're saying you'll boycot the game if all the characters are straight?
Awesome. What are we going to call that now, "reverse homophobia"? "Heterophobia"?
Either way, thanks for making my day.

And I don't buy that BioWare killed same sex romance because of "budget concerns," because I've seen the FemShep/Ashley romance scene on Youtube. They are in the game, just locked.
And I've also heard them say that Liara doesn't count. BS, because it says the asari are all-female.
Really, if things weren't so taboo, then this wouldn't be an issue, but as it is, I wouldn't hold my breath for them to include same-sex romances in ME3. Even if the threads supporting it are ALMOST 300 PAGES LONG! Clearly, there isn't a minority here.

I believe you're making rash and shallow assumptions.
What I'm saying is that I'd be willing to boycott ME3 should BioWare choose once more to ignore what is a well-known and widely advocated issue.
That lucid enough?

Not every post supports it. It's just mostly discussions between the same few people for it and against it.
