It would be for me. I don't play as femshep and don't ever plan on it. Nor am I pathetic enough to buy some content and then play through the game as a female just so I can see "lesbian content". I don't think i know anyone that bad aside from whats her face in here.

The man on man DLC content would appeal to an even smaller userbase than f/f would.

Basically both options would appeal to a segmented amount of the userbase and it is likely not really worth Bioware's time or money to release anything that everyone is not going to be able to enjoy.

How do you know?? You're just assuming it wouldn't appeal to the fanbase without giving us hard facts or statistics to prove your point. I could just say that if they put Shepard in a gorilla suit it would increase sales and the majority of the fanbase would like it. See how stupid that is?

If my poll is any indicator, the majority is for inclusion not against

and some people don't care either way

and some are on the fence about it, they just want to know how it will be implemented before they make a decision

also according to my poll most people that are against default to the Muzyka excuse

Thermal clips were invented after ME1, not while Shepard was in a come. Read the manual booklet included with the game. Its based on Geth technology. Does anyone read the manual?

Right and this is magically made standard and Shep knows about it before going into a coma?

Suure. :innocent:

Also isn't there a like 3 months at best between ME1 ending and ME2 prologue?

Its a SCI-FY game RYZAKI (wondered the same though), deal with it.

Actually I don't personally care. But if people are going to act butthurt over retconning I want them to act butthurt over ALL retconning.

A map does not alter the story. Adding new missions and a new character (all planned for Mass Effect 2) does. Your example is faulty. Mass Effect 2 is not yet finished, and BioWare know his, are okay with it, and are adding content to make it a more finished product.

Enough of this already. Of course the game is finished. Adding DLC missions at a later date does not make the game "unfinished". That is just adding additional things, that does not involve changing existing things.

Games are released incomplete or unpolished all the time. It's through DLC that developer's are given the opportunity to increase game performance or add features to an existing storyline. An example is Bayonetta, and the load times patch for PS3

Bayonetta. Hottest female character ever!!!!!! Loved the freaking voice. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I will not; I believe my argument to be sound and have yet to face a counter-argument as sound. Adding a new character changes existing things. The story is now different, the squad is different, the endgame is different. It is a change to the story of the game, and it is planned for Mass Effect 2. BioWare is changing the story of the game, altering it. Making Tali or Thane a same sex romance option is the same; something additional to the story.

Because it doesn't take a genius to know that man on man content doesn't appeal to everyone playing the game, and having a DLC that segments the audience rather than one that can appeal to all players of the game would be a supreme waste of money

You would not be in the majority of male gamers; lots of them love lesbians.

You watch too much TV. I literally don't know any guys that played through as a female for lesbian content. Much less any that would pay for it beforehand.

Where did you read that Kasumi would alter the endgame? I actually really want to see this.

They're not going to. Small gameplay changes are hardly the same as major established character changes.

Going from homosexual to bisexual and other shifts are not slight alterations.

You know, when you've known someone for a while (perhaps even a long time) and then you find out that their sexual orientation is different from what you had assumed, they're still the same person that they always were. It's just that you've learned something new about them. Sometimes, they've even only just figured out something new about themselves.

Watch the suicide mission with Kasumi modded in. It alters dialogue and a lot more if you so choose.

I cannot without posting spoilers. However, even the mere fact that she is there alters it; that is one more character that can die or live. It's the same as adding a new character to the fellowship of the ring. Does it change the story in a great deal? No, but it does change it.

Garrus-Shepard, you wanted to speak to me

Shepard-

1. I like you Garrus come back to my captain's cabin

2. Any Ideas for new weapons Garrus

3. Tell me about Turian Politics

Then if you choose 1...Garrus says

Garrus- I've never been with men Shepard, and I don't intend to. But something about you gives me great pride.

Shepard-

1. Just this one time Garrus, I know we have a connection

2. I was just joking, you're like a brother to me

3. I would never sleep with a turian anyway

And if you pick number 2, Garrus says...

Garrus- Actually Shepard, you have intrigued me. I'll meet you in your cabin in 5 minutes ( Then romance scene later)

But if you pick 1, it's a trap, and it closes off the romance

Garrus- One time too many for me Shepard, You're my captain, and my friend, please understand

So it could be like a seduction mini game

Oh yeah. You were right about Heavy Rain. It blows every video game storyline ever pretty much out the water. Honestly T_T

And I'm angry. Fat Detective ended up well. The bastard deserved it.

Worst part is that he was my favorite. :crying:

Oh well. FBI guy happily took his place! :D
