This thread is not about how anyone  of us acts in the real world, and discussing such things are OFF TOPIC. If you feel as though he is a troll, or that you are unable to respond to him in a way that is on topic, then, please, just ignore him.

I would love to discuss the bio and socio-sexual constructs with anyone here without having people call for a lynch mob every three posts.
- The point is that we must allow everyone who's willing to be civil to express themselves, regardless of how upsetting one might find the opinions on display. And then elaborate upon or deconstruct these ideas without resorting to derogatory remarks.
No proper discourse is ever held by flinging poo at eachother.

I couldn't agree more. However, this thread is still not a place for a civil talk on the issues you speak of. For something like that to happen it would require much more discipline than both parties seem willing to invest at present anyway.

Plus, talking about differing world views in this thread seems a sure-fire way to get the topic locked.

If you feel a poster is trying to derail the thread, then simply do not respond to his/her posts, and simply PM me a message. I don't want to get caught up in a game of "he/she said ____"
Personally, I don't care whose feelings were hurt, just don't add fuel to the fire by responding to a comment that might derail the thread or I'm obligated to lock said thread


I don't understand why you guys simply don't form a group to discuss such a heated topic. You'd be able to moderate the group forum yourselves, as well as be free of any spammers that join the site just to do so

This pretty much. The only thing on topic in this thread is the implention of same sex romances in ME not the real world, not who you know. All of that is off-topic. So. Yeah.

Talking about how anyone looks gay is off topic unless you're referring to ME characters.

On that note. None of the characters are sterotypically anything (with perhaps the exception of Jack) and honestly if Jacob was the male LI it would have made him marginally more appealing to me.

Just a smidge...

Absolutely. I don't mean to be antagonizing, but given the overwhelming majority of the thread opposes my opinion on the matter, it seems heated arguments get centered around me more often than not.

I have no problem with leaving if it's too much trouble though.

Phew  Thanks so much for your cooperation. It's very much appreciated. Sometimes a thread might lean for or against a certain issue, and to bring in a determined counter opinion sometimes can cause conflict if not carefully worded.
