First time I've checked the forums in weeks and low and behold, here's the spam. The crazy ****** spam. You guys should make up a song or something, get yourselves a dance routine going.
However, my position is known now so, end of line.
C u again in another 3 weeks, I would imagine the spam would be going strong still. Sad acts die hard.

Lol...this thread is kept alive by like 470 raving homos...and that's it.
Get over it you clowns, lol. Go get a job / girlfriend (whoops) / hobby / new game.
Also I fail to see how you "beat" us? Have they included homomance yet?
Fixed that for you. There are 470 people in FFtL, from all walks of life - they may not post on the forums, but their presence in the group means they support the inclusion of this stuff. Not to mention the many thousands of people who don't care one way or the other because they correctly assume that it won't affect their game experience in any way, shape or form.
Just a reminder for anyone joining in the thread now to read the FAQ (first three posts) first, and join the group if you like what you see!

The only problem I see at the moment for this idea is Kaiden. I can’t see them releasing a patch or something now for ME1 to make him an option for M!Shep (if they do that would be pretty damn awesome), so maybe the picture frame idea taken from the first page of the thread could work here? Right now that’s the only viable way I can see it working without having to wait for ME3.
Nice post, Katsaurs. You covered a lot of ground there.
I doubt we'll be seeing Mass Effect 2 DLC relating to the love interests from the original, alas; they're probably saving that for their love triangle scheme in ME3. The exception would be the rumoured ME: Revelation tie-in DLC, but that still wouldn't leave room for those pining for Kaidan. Hopefully in ME3 they'll give us the "I never told you how I feel about you, Kaidan" option to catch up on lost time. As you point out, BioWare could handle all the rest with ME2 DLC or expansion content. I hope they do.

I was thinking about Jack's dialogue a bit, earlier. Several pages back in this thread folk got to talking about disappointment over her not being enabled as a bi option, considering how she tells Shepard about not having a "girlfriend or boyfriend" and her past experiences. For any new character, I think something like Jack's monologue is the best way of introducing same-sex love interest potential without dealing with the tired "I like people of my own gender, is that OK with you?" drama. Jack brings it up casually, matter-of-fact and that's that. It's no big deal. (The bigger deal is that female Shepard cannot make clear that she doesn't want shopping-gossip style "girl stuff", but rather smooches.)
Hypothetical example to illustrate what I'm talking about:
(Shepard recruits Sven the rugged mercenary. Later, back on the Normandy, they chat.)
mShepard: Tell me how you got to be a mercenary, Sven.
Sven: Believe it or not, I was dating this guy who was in the Blue Suns. I signed on as a freelancer with them so that we didn't have to be separated for months at a time whenever his squad took a contract. We drifted apart after awhile, but it turned out I was really good at the job and I just kept at it. Never joined a company though: I like the freedom of freelancing.
mShepard: Do you have a special someone now?
Sven: Nah, it's really hard finding guys who are OK with the interstellar life of danger thing.
Conversation Wheel Options for Shep: Good luck with that. | I'm available... | I have to go.

Also, who the hell cares what 500 people think exactly? Certainly not a multimillion dollar company like Electronic Arts.
Anyway, that's it. I'm outtie. Not even checking responses. So you last minute have a go heroes are just typing your attempted witty responses for exactly sweet FA.
Thank you, goodnight

I'm afraid I don't know of any concrete confirmation or articles about it. I've just heard mention of it from farting around these forums.

I like what you're saying. My only concern would be, if this was the very first conversation I had with a character they might just seem a little... desperate?
If every person I met were to crowbar their sexual history into the very first exchange I had with them, I might start getting confused and thinking I'd turned into Angelina Jolie by mistake.

I see. I always thought that those Liara DLC threads were a desperate plea to finish a plotline clearly meant to be resolved in ME3, but I guess there is something to it, after all. I admit, there could be some stuff happening between the brief discussions we currently have in the game, and the final resolution in ME3. If they do make one, I hope that they'll have some romance-specific dialogue in it.

Leave it after the standard friendship conversations, or after a loyalty quest of some kind, and it should work well enough.

My error! It's the Mass Effect: Redemption comic with the rumored DLC tie-in, not Revelation. I'm sorry about that mix-up. Mass Effect:Re-something isn't the easiest title differentiation for me. Anyway, the primary source of the rumour is this July 2009 article from IGN:
http://comics.ign.co.../1005868p1.html
IGN Comics: We know that Bioware is going to be releasing some more
downloadable content for the first Mass Effect that sort of bridges the
gap between that game and the sequel. Is this comic connected in any way
to those stories?
Walters: Actually, our goal right now is to have the story tie to
some of the downloadable content for Mass Effect 2.
That will probably be coming later next year. I don;t think we have
specific dates yet. It's meant to be standalone in the sense that it
explores something we don't necessarily see in the game, but it is
connected to the game, and in the downloadable content we hope to follow
through on some of the events in the comic.
The rest is pure speculation. If you search these boards, probably under keywords "Liara DLC" you'd likely find a sampling of people wondering about it and hoping that they won't have to wait to ME3 to rekindle the flame of love with Liara.
I'm sure I remember others in this thread suggesting a character from that DLC as a same-sex male romantic introduction, too.

There are several already. In average 60-70% of the voters tend to be in favour of the option.

Oh yes, certainly. My silly example conversation wasn't meant as a proposed "first talk with Sven" or "complete character dialogue" but an illustration of concept. A casual identification of character sexuality without over-dramatization of the issue, followed by Shepard's eventual option to flirt, chat, or move on.

I think you're thinking of Redemption. This is speculated on thanks to
some Liara stuff that is coded in and seems to refer to future DLC.

Like, you know, if you kept them to proportion instead of stretching them to fit the full size of the siggy...Maybe adjust the brightness and contrast a bit...
Like I said before I wish I could help but my computer is not agreeing with me lately...I'm on my gfs laptop.
