Sadly, I haven't done nearly as much as I should have done on ME1 and I want to start a new game and play the hell out of it to bring into ME2 and do everything I can. However, I don't know if I want to play an Earthborn/Sole Survivor like I always do.
I chose that one because it just seems to have the most potential for psychological back story and most hard hitting for me. But how do the other flesh out, abd even the sole survivor flesh out throughout ME1. Don't care if anyone spoils this for me before I do it. I just want to know what I'm going for before I do it.

Colonist has a really moving encounter on the Citadel and War Hero lets you hear people gush about what a badass you are. Sole Survivor is still better than War Hero because of the encounter with Corporal Tombs and your future dealings with Cerberus. However; I strongly recommend Colonist it has the best side mission of the three in ME1 and it gives you an even stronger motivation to save human colonies in ME2.

Yeah just go Colonist/Sole Survivor. Definitely the best combination storyline wise. Though I guess the spacer gets to have a conversation with his/her mom. Still, Colonist/SS just seems to mesh best with Shepard's character (paragon atleast)
