It's just curiosu how poeple complained about the idea of space flgiths and piloting the Normandy, that would be too far from ME, then this poor and short version of f-zero is accepted awithout problems... tsk.

The sad part is that:
1-If people will hate hammerhead, that will result in NO VEHICLE in Mass Effect 3 :(

2-Il people will like the hammerhead, it will result in a POOR VEHICLE in Mass Effect 3.

For Mass Effect 1 fans, it's a lose-lose situation :(
Why It's so difficult, I just want my Mako and free roam exploration back!!

Most people here are overreacting.

I perfectly understand why the content is free and was not shipped with the game.

Bioware probably doesnt have people who are adept at creating good vehicle segment. They didnt want to have a glaring weak point in the game,so they decided to release the content for free to see how it would be received by gamers and critics alike. Its probably a case of employees saying: we can try to create a new vehicle, but we really arent good at this and we have virtually no experience with this (granted, its not easy to properly implement vehicle gameplay no matter what game.Blizzard is struggling with vehicles in WOTLK since they are sluggish, with limited skills versus characters and had to scrap planes+bombers because the physics werent up to the task and thats not counting the 4 years delay since they were planned for the first battleground :P).

If they dont have anyone who is able to create interesting vehicle gameplay, just scrap it until you hire someone whos competent enough to get it right.

There is another option, BW could release Hammerhead, and we respond with what works and

what doesn't work, and Bioware should make tweeks. But if we attack than yeah, it could be pulled

from ME 3, and i for one don't want to see that happen...again.

As far as it being seperate from the main game (ME 2), i'd be upset if i had to pay for it, but if

its a feature thats been delayed a little, and i'm going to get it later without a sneaky charge, then i'm okay with it, just don't make us wait a year.

This is true. We don't need anymore content pulled from this game. Really, the Mako wasn't that bad. It was the terrain that made it torture for me. I won't be too harsh on Biowares efforts in this area, cause I would rather they regrouped and improved on it instead of just throwing it out altogether.

I'm sorry, but that is a fat load of crap.  Not having people capable of creating a good vehicle segment?  They had a huge part of the first game dedicated to vehicle travel, and it was well done, it was called the Mako.  Sure it had its complaints, but tons of people loved it as it was, and it was clearly mostly well done, it just had some issues.

They clearly had the talent to deal with it, and they got thousands of suggestions and feedback comments from people after ME 1 launched, I was there, on the old boards, saw it myself, contributed myself.  There was plenty of feedback to go on.  There was no reason to launch some reworked mini game madness just for feedback on how to do vehicles properly.

As far as WOTLK goes, the reason Blizzard is having trouble, is because they have a dinosaur of a game engine powering a game with terrible at best physics, and they keep trying to pile on more and more and more content that the system isn't built to handle, so they can keep the cash train rolling.  Plus they have a living game world that has 8 or 9 million players on it, that requires a ridiculously in depth amount of testing to get right.  It has nothing to do with Blizzard not having people that can properly do vehicles if given the equipment and game engine to do it in.

I wonder if the hammerhead tank has it's own Mass Effect generator?  You would need one to conteract the kinectic effects from; firing the machine gun, firing the turret, and receiving hits from enemy weaponry.  That or "retro" rockets that fire in opposing directions, but "retro" rockets would be a step backwards...  Who knows maybe everytime you fire the weapons you may have "lead into the direction of fire"...  or maybe there's an onboard CPU that compensates for it all...

So now that "Late March" is rapidly approaching for the kill can we have an officially confirmed release date?

I just wish Bioware would communicate with us, and learn how to plan out DLC better.  We've gotten no official answers or responses from anyone on any of these stickied DLC topics that have been up for weeks in some cases.  All you have are scraps of info, some true, some not, many undetermined, and a lot of people just getting angry because of that.  A little attention from a dev on all of these DLC issues would go a long way towards silencing many of the vocal fans.

You must not've been here during ME1's DLC debauchle.  They've made it absolutely clear that they have no desire to communicate any kind of useful information when it comes to DLC.  They're trying to remedy their previous dealings with DLC, and frankly, I think they're going in the right direction.  However, it takes some time to go from "God-awful support, almost no DLC, broken promises, and 18 months of silence," to the golden DLC everyone seems to want.  They're obviously trying to get things out there, and they need some trial and error to learn how to make DLC that doesn't suck.  They're not charging for this one, probably so they can see a wider reaction to it.  They are charging for Kasumi to see how much they can get away with charging.  They're probably not saying anything because they don't know how to PR DLC.

That being said, I hated the MAKO.  It's stuck on a hill at the crash site, where, in my opinion, is exactly where it belongs.  I'd just as soon see no vehicle at all.

I loved the Mako. I drove that thing over the roughest terrain, only having to recall to the Normandy twice when I got it stuck in a crevasse. Otherwise, that thing was nearly indestructible. I laughed the first time I saw that sucker get dropped out of the Normandy and BOUNCE when it landed.

It was like one of those radio-controlled cars of the 90's. Heheh.

Now this is what I'm talking about and way to go about keeping promises. Awakening out on time, now the Firewalker pack set to be on time and Kasumi due on April 6. Seems like BioWare is on a roll to keep gamers happy. Too bad they are still trying to shove the PC versions of their games down our throats with petty exclusivities.....sorry but I don't care for bug ridden and near unplayable versions of DAO, ME2 or any game for that matter.

And it seems to be there is no "I can get out of that thing to explore the planet per pedes"

Jup, what I've meant. Compared to that, the mako was the greatest invention ever made in gaming history.
