My favorite pic. of the Hammerhead. The only thing I'm mad about is the fact that the ME2 Twitter said free content in a couple of weeks, and this is coming out in late March.

Free content:

Cerberus Armor, Eviscerator shotgun, and an unspecified Heavy Weapon

You don't have anything to be mad about.

Wait, the DLC is announced with 5 Missions and there are STILL whiners?

Dudes, If I'd be develloper and people would still cry after I announced such a big package for FREE I'd say "crap on that morons, I'll not release anything further".

So stop complaining!

I agree, this is proof some will complain about anything.

I for one say thanks Bioware and I am lookign forward to it.

I'm mad because I have to wait so long for the Hammerhead. All those things cannot make me ride around. I like ME1 for the fact that nearly every mission featured the Mako and you could get out at any time. Now I get to experience that again, minus the every mission part. So you don't have anything to tell me to be mad about.

Only 5 missions worry me though, hopefully we get some planets just to rome around in and will get more missions later.

I'm confused. Is this supposed to be free DLC?

Yes, it's free DLC for all with the Cerberus Network, which comes free with a new copy of the game.  Basically if you were able to get Zaeed and that shotgun a few weeks ago, you'll be able to get this.

I'm assuming that somewhere down the line we'll be getting more DLC missions for the Hammerhead. It seems like a waste of resources if they spent the development time making a new vehicle and controls for it if it's just a one-time pack.

...not that I'd be complaining if that was indeed the case. I'm just happy we're getting more free content. Thanks, BioWare!

Well no one ever said how long the missions are. Guessing on the flying ability and the speed the Hammerhead has, I think the mission could take about 2 hours. that makes 10 hours playtime. Maybe longer.

My personal guess is still on Planet exploring to find the mission spot, investigate, fly through checkpoints to your Target while blasting various enemies and then escaping with it or havinbg a serious Boss battle.

Can you and your crewmembers exit the Hammerhead ?

...or is this limited to you flying around, shooting stuff ?

I really could go for new quests/stories so I'm hoping it's not just action/combat.

Dude, you know how long development takes?
Ever tried to design a good looking map for an Unreal Engine Game?
Not to mention to develop a vehicle...

If not, I suggest trying it, then you'll understand.

WOOT, we got an announcement! Thanks Bioware, although it would have been nice if you had anounced it a week ago, less stressing for us.

Dissapointed that it will only be out in late march, i was hoping for a lot sooner than that, but hey, its free!

Thanks again Bioware, just try not to keep us in the air for so long next time, please. Image IPB

I'm willing to bet the new heavy weapon will either shoot sharks at the enemy or IS a freaking shark with a freaking laser attached to its freaking head.

Well, I'm glad that they finally announced it. A couple of months is not much different from a couple of weeks, huh?

WarChicken78 ,

Not sure if it's directed at me , but if it is I'm not crying over the dlc.All I was saying is the length will more than likely be an hour or two.Afterwords I'm going to be looking forward to more dlc coming in the future.

In short no complaints here , more game studio's should do this.

by a couple of weeks they were probably referring to the cerberus armor, eviscerator, and the new hw

That means 7 missions/planets 1 vehicle and 1 character for free in the first two months.

But...but...but...they should have been in the game in the first place. DLC is always bad, EA is the devil and the end of Bioware is coming.
I'm sorry, always wanted to know what silly complaining feels like. :P

Hammerhead, its free so thanks BW. Good job.

I just hope the forums won't crash the day Hammerhead comes out and all the people who think Hammerhead will completely replace the scanning for minerals (which it WON'T, I say again, WILL NOT DO) come and cry how BW is part of the **** regime or something.

Hope that won't happen, but I'm afraid there will be countless of threads of how "Hammerhead SUCKS!!1!1111!! i want my money back!!1111!!!1"

"A couple of weeks to release DLC I want" is different from "A couple of weeks to release DLC."

I for one is happy to wait if it means they get more time to iron out any bugs. Better a good release late than a bad early.

Yeah, this looks awesome! Definitely gonna wait with my third playthrough.

A question though. By looking at the cool screen shots the Hammerhead seems kind of cramped in small areas. Is this supposed to be open-world exploring or linear missions, only in vehicle and not on foot? Either way, it looks awesome to me.

Because I can imagine that there will be loads of complaint topics if it is in fact only linear missions.
