Until then, though, the Hammerhead looks great. I'm not expecting little 5 minute missions like the existing N7 ones, but neither am I expecting5 missions 2 hours long each. Approximately half an hour per mission seems reasonable to me - 2.5 hours of free content? A completely fresh experience from what was in the main game? Yes please, and thankies...!

Late march? As in 2 months after release? lol
I guess some people will still be playing this by then, but not me. I'm struggling to muster up the motivation to play it all the way through the first time, and I'm sure I won't be playing it a second time through. In future, EA/Bioware, could you please ship the stuff that should be included with the game, with the game? It's kinda hard to pitch this as an extar, since the first game had it.

That isn't going to happen. They went out of their way to strip ME2 down, they aren't likely to add more depth than was in ME1.

Frankly, I've been waiting to post my honest complaints about the game...simply because I know the instant I post, any thread will instantly be buried in 2 trillion posts calling me a hater and a cry baby.
I'm sorry...but no game is perfect. I absolutely LOVED Mass Effect 1. But I never had any issues admitting to it's faults...something which the vast majority of posters here have not yet accepted about ME2.
I'm excited for this DLC...but it feels like something that should have been in the game to begin with. I'm glad they're trying to do right by their fans and release it for free...but I feel like I've been playing an incomplete game.

New Hammerhead missions down the line seem pretty likely. I have little doubt there'll be a full expansion later which will prob'ly include more everything (quests, weapons, armour pieces etc). Personally I'm hoping for some endgame content.

30 minutes per mission? I doubt it. 10-15 minutes at the most is my guess. But whatever, I'm sure the Hammerhead will be a nice addition to the game.
Just one question though. There are thrusters at the front, but I cannot see anything at the rear. What is keeping the parts behind the centre of gravity from falling? In one of the pictures (the one with the geth colossus) you can see a thruster at the rear but it doesn't seem to be running and I can't see that it is in any of the other pictures either. Explanation?

well, at least it will be prettier - right? not as monotnous.
five missions, maybe one for like a... jungle world, a lava world, an ice world, an urban world, and hopefully one for non-star wars science fiction influenced style world (aka one with some varations)...

Depends on where the center of gravity is. Also, Mass Effect fields. The Kodiak shuttle renders itself practically weightless, the thrusters are for maneuvering only.Gaddmeister wrote...

Ah yes, the mass effect field. Forgot about that. Of course I cannot know where the centre of gravity is, but I just assumed that it would be found behind the front thrusters. So if they are for maneuvering, can they rotate or something? They seem awfully rigid. Oh well, I'll see in a month. Just curious is all.Aisynia wrote...

My favorite pic. of the Hammerhead. The only thing I'm mad about is the fact that the ME2 Twitter said free content in a couple of weeks, and this is coming out in late March.
Free content:
Cerberus Armor, Eviscerator shotgun, and an unspecified Heavy Weapon
You don't have anything to be mad about.
I'm mad because I have to wait so long for the Hammerhead. All those things cannot make me ride around. I like ME1 for the fact that nearly every mission featured the Mako and you could get out at any time. Now I get to experience that again, minus the every mission part. So you don't have anything to tell me to be mad about.
Its Free! Damnit! You Dont Complain about free things even if they are bad!!!
gOD i Bet if it wasnt free youd complain about 5 missions plus the Hammerhead and the new gear being over-priced at wat? 600 MPs? thats wat? 10 dollars? HEY ITS A ****ING GAME ALL IN ALL youd be throwing away your money! so wtf

hey shamie i know your right, and i am in no way trying to insult you, but please try to keep it civil. i dont want this turning into a flame war.
i do agree with you that people complaining about free DLC are out of their minds though.
