RigAudio! That's awesome! Are you trying to break into that area of entertainment? You have some skill! Keep it up!
Thanks! Yeah, I actually do create sound effects and music for games. Just little ones right now, but I'm making an Xbox game with a few friends

Hmm, this one doesn't seem as close as the drell one was. I think the part you added isn't deep enough perhaps?
well theres different turian voice types. the one he sampled sounds really similar to the guy guarding the quarantine in omega
Maybe that's it.
@ RigAudio
Is the program you're using freeware?

I'm using FL Studio 9 to do all this. It's not free, sorry! Though there is a program out there called Reaper which does pretty much everything FL does for a lot less money (only 60 bucks!), but it's not as pretty.
It's also an unlimited shareware, so you can try it out for free, forever, and no features are disabled. You'll get a nag screen after a while, though.

Thanks for the info. Professional software makes me nervous because there's always like a zillion buttons. MS Paint is the most advanced image manipulation program I'm comfortable with.
No problem. It took me about a year of tinkering to get FL to make the sounds I had in my head. Don't be intimidated!

If 3rd-party mods could be done, this thread would be invaluable regarding voice-acting
Well, spoofs and dramatizations can always be made.

Hey RigAudio, I noticed when talking to some turians, they have more than just an upped pitch alongside the original voice. Some of them have a super, super low undertone. Like a person talking as incredibly low as they can. It is really subdued too, but you can hear it when they pronounce some words. It seems off sync from the original voice by a fraction of a second.
I hope I'm making sense...
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm trying to replicate it ;P
But hey, I've Drell-ifyed someone already. Anyone else?

I don't suppose you can Reaper-ify someones voice in the style of Sovereigns?
I've been trying for a few hours, actually. It's tricky. You need to have a certain type of voice to begin with. I'll keep trying, and will post the results later on.

I used to use FLstuidio when i tried making Dubstep tracks (They were too basic and i cant afford a newer FLstudio to keep trying) It is realy good, simple compared to Cubase now that was intimidating when i tried that lol.

Speak in monotone, lower the pitch.

Yeah, I like it. One of the composers who wrote some of the ME2 music used FL to compose it

I have a friend with a fairly interesting voice ( though he mumbles a bunch ), and I think he would sound like an interesting Turian, how exactly would I get you that info so I could see the results?

What I've been telling people to do is to upload their voice file to www.mediafire.com (it's free!) and to send me a message with a download link. I then do the alterations and upload the finished product to mediafire, and send you a download link of your own.

Is there some sort of software to use, prefferably something cheap and easy?
