How can I disable the box over Jack so the image has absolutely no HUD?
ToggleHUD only disables the "Talk to Jack" stuff at the top of the screen.
Any way to disable the box over people?

I don't know of a way, sorry. I imagine BW figured people would want to stay informed which things they can interact with - people it's pretty obvious, but other things like salvage or NPC commentary outside the Normandy can be less so.

Well, the Coalesced Compiler can change a whole bunch of stuff. I've been looking through it but haven't found anything yet. Hopefully there's a way.

If you figure it out let us know, I'd also be interested in a change like that.

A solution has been found! But I don't have it yet (
)
Jusupov (the guy behind http://www.youtube.com/user/narfgarg ) found a way to disable the interaction boxes.
Downside: Once they're off, they're OFF. You cannot turn them back on without loading a savegame, and you are unable to interact with anything until they are back on.
I'm waiting for him to post the method (different board).

Get the mod manager @ social.bioware.com/project/1998/
Get the UICommands mod @ social.bioware.com/project/2002/#files
and put the UICommands mod into the mod manager
then read the info.

Hell YES. Thank you so much for sharing this solution with us. I've tried disabling these annoying boxes via coalesced.ini before but wasn't able to do this...
Aaah, good to know these boxes are now off.
Btw, didn't have the chance to test it properly, but it seems the 'interact' option still works for me despite using the mod (via TexMod).

The TexMod method just makes them invisible, which is why interacting still works
