Can someone explain this to me?

I have collector's edition, got a cerberus network card with a code, that gave me access to some dlc. Will future dlc be available for free because I have this cerberus network card? or was that just for the CE. In other words, is everyone connected to the cerberus network, but only people with CE get some included dlc?
