Hello, hope someone can help. RtO shows up as available in my in-game menu, but every time I try to buy it, I get a message that says ' sorry, your request could not be completed at this time, please try again'. So I do, and same story. Was trying for several hours last night and again this morning to no avail.

My game is patched up to 1.02a, I have plenty of points, and the game is working well otherwise (including all dlc). I have a couple of mods - the da mod installer, pineapple tree's colours, extra hairstyles and Alley of Murders. But the same thing happens even when I deactivate or even uninstall the mods. Is RtO offline for update, or something?

Thanks in anticipation ...

I also have that message "sorry, your request could not be completed at this time, please try again". Maybe just a problem with the servers and it will be solved...

Just to expand on this a little, in case it helps - I'm running windows 7 x64 (seems like a few people are having problems with that OS and Dragon Age update/download type things). I've tried deleting my download cache via the config tool, and I've also made sure that DA Updater is running before I boot up the game. I'm automatically logged in, and I stay logged in, and every so often I click the refresh button in the hope that something will change, but it sadly doesn't. I also tried manually downloading RtO, in the hope that installing it would somehow prompt my computer to accept my attempt to purchase it. Again, no luck (that was a pretty speculative effort, though!)

From looking at these forums it seems that quite a number of folk are having one of three issues

1) downloadable content not showing up as being available for download;

2) Content showing up, but being unavailable for purchase ('please try again')

3) content being purchased successfully but then hanging indefinitely during download.

All different, but similar enough to indicate some issue with the updater service. Out of curiosity, what OS are the rest of you using? When I first installed DA (and therefore, the rest of the official dlc, with which I've had no problems) I was on Vista x64. I upgraded to Win7 at Christmas, and this is the first time I've played DA on Windows 7.

Having the same issue - at first issue #2, tried a remedy listed on the EA support page and cleared temp files. That action forced the DLC I already had to re-download (which took about 6 hours to complete). Now I am dealing with issue #1 with Return to Ostagar not even showing on the list. OS: XP Pro 32-bit DA:O digital deluxe direct download from EA.

Also having this issue. Have exactly the right number of points to buy the DLC, but just keep getting the "Please try again" message.

Here's hoping for a speedy resolution, or me and the boys from Orzammar will be round to sort things out, dwarf style.

try this thread for the purchasing problem

http://social.biowar...49580/3#1459355

delete the "offer" xml file and wait a minute or two after starting the game

Have just tried the above tip - sadly no luck. All that happened was that for some reason, the game started trying to download the blood armour .. which I already have .. and RtO didn't even show up!

I am hoping that this problem will clear up in the next day or so (I think there's a thread where someone says that Bio support is aware of the dlc issues and to try again in 24 hours). Fingers crossed!

I have the exact same problem just with the wardens keep. I bought points to download it but it won't:-( That's bad! I've been trying for 2 days now.

If you're continuing to have problems its probably best to post them in the sticky. That way they get a little more visibility. Bioware thinks they've fixed the problem, so posting there gives them insight that there are still problems.

I too have the same problem with RTO, and the "sorry, your request could not be completed at this time, please try again" message. CS has been completly useless (that is when you actually get to chat/talk to someone)

I could not see any DLC until I went to the administrative options and manually started the Dragon age update service (and I set it to automatic startup as well). But it seems this service crashes or ends prematurely sometimes because I just had to relaunch it. The game could get the Dragon armor DLC was trying to get the Golem DLC (but it just failed again). On the other end the Wardens' keep keeps crashing during download all the time.

As for RtO, it is not even listed by my game. As RtO is not even listed by the social website (Games->Dragon Age: Origins->Official DLC... it's not there), I went on the Dragon age web site and clicked on the PC button on RtO page and it went forward with the Bioware points purchase (what a crap system) exactly like for Wardens' Keep. But unlike Wardens' Keep I never got to the point were I can actually redeem the points to purchase the DLC. Now each time I click on the RtO PC button, I get to the page where I can purchase more points even if my account still has 400 Bioware points remaining... and I get no way of reedeming them...

Well it worked for me. Completly unnistall the game and install everything again. Let's hope i don't have to do that everytime a new DLC is released.

Opened settings from the splash screen on start up. Cleared download cache and checked make firewall exception (though i don't use one) and RTO was purchasable.

Though a minor things, may work for others.

Ok, 12h later all of the sudden RtO popped up in the available DLC and I could redeem the points ingame... and it downloaded straight without any issues. It took another 24h and 5~6 tries to get the other two installed.

On the other hand I've noticed that if the service is running, the game shuts it down on startup and does not retart it. This is what I call a /doh programming error; guess programmers at Bioware are not so smart after all...
