But my reason is more along the lines that he wasn't really developed and just felt like nothing more than a spare squadmate to be tacked on to the game.
Now if they'd had it to where you could actually converse with him I probably would have liked him more. He had potential, but it just never came through.
I will say, however, I did like the character way more than Jack.

I hate him because he's old, ugly, and his armor was stolen from Isaac.
What you call ugly, I call ruggedly sexy.
I don't hate Zaeed, i think most ppl don't like him because you can't talk to him like a normal character. but who knows, maybe bioware will make a dlc where you can, idk.

I actually think Zaeed is hot. It's nothing to do with his face. It's the rugged voice, the no-nonsense attitude, the competence and, well, a nicely drawn ass. And out of the whole ship, if my Shep had to choose someone to sleep with purely for the sake of doing so, it would be Zaeed.
I think you girls should create a separate "Zaeed for LI in ME3" thread.

I would, but sadly it won't happen. He's so damned sexy too.

If people either want to kill or have sex with an NPC, than that is a sign that the NPC was well devoloped.
Except I wanted Zaeed dead because he wasn't developed.

Except you're wrong, because he IS well developed. Just not in such a way you would expect. Zaeed isn't gonna hold your hand and pout about his daddy issues.

Yeah, Boba Fett never commanded much respect. He never scores any kills and dies a pathetic death. Absolutely no match for a blind man.Nhani wrote...
I actually never cared much for Boba Fett, never quite got onto the train how he was suppose to be so super awesome or anything so Zaeed had me mostly just raise my eyebrows and shrug. His mission made him seem a little too much a loose cannon for me to trust with anything more delicate than "Shoot Absolutely Everything."Merchant2006 wrote...

No but really, I liked Zaeed, I always see him as the "Boba Fett" of Mass Effect
Liked his voice, though. Great accent. Pity it wasn't attached to a character I had more interest in.

I also appreciate that they added in a character capable of taking care of himself with or without you, and I think that puts a lot of players off. Many players enjoy coddling and ensuring the safety and growth of their crew, and to have someone aboard who absolutely doesn't need it seems off... and breeds hate.
Dunno, but there was my 2 cred's worth. I like the guy but wish they did more with him. I also do not see the Boba Fett connection, but he does fit somewhere in between Canderous Ordo and HK-47 in terms of motives and attitude.

Trig, didn't Joker tell you not to go spreading his opinion around? lol
Zaeed is awesome. I so hated him my first playthrough when I picked him up late in the game when he became available, his quest def demonizes him. But pick him up early and he is so useful in the early game when you can start with him, and has great in-game dialogue on Omega, and cool war stories. He grows on you, like a fungus.

Zaeed HUMBLY CONCEDES. He basically admits he was completely wrong, and accepts that he screwed up.
THAT is character development. More than most other characters EVER get.
I appreciate and respect a man who can completely screw up and then be humble about it when you force him to see that he was wrong.

If you take the Paragon path in his mission, and then use the blue charm option at the end, you are basically saying "You wanted revenge, but you put it before your team, and all those people, and that action in and of itself COST you your revenge. Good job."

Well said. Also, I find it oddly amusing that I know several people who will yammer on about "war stories" without anyone else getting in a word edgewise. Zaeed does it well.
Plus, he comes with AR and SR, Disruptor Ammo and Concussive Shot. Great combination. Throw in his Loyalty power which has great AoE CC and stagger effects (will AoE stagger enemies with shields or barriers) and he's priceless. Upgraded to Squad Disruptor and you have a bunch of shieldless enemies with overheated weapons that dance around while on fire or just simply get knocked back and out of commission.
