Human Noble Origin - Where is my Brother?!

RE: Human, Noble, Origin
It is possible I missed out on this side quest, or my memeory is failing me. But, is the plotline of my brother being missing completely ignored through the rest of the game (besides a fleeting conversation at Lothering)?
Some of the Role Playing (RP) options allow me to seriously care for my brother, and to use that as motivation to continue on. When I RP'd these events, I swore to find my brother. I did not ever have the opportunity to do so.
Did I miss something?
Is the answer in DLC?

Fergus . . . there's no quest. Let the story unfold (I'm NOT ruining this for you). I will say this -- there are no loose ends to this origin.
I've already played through the whole game. I must have missed something ...

Hmmmm, you didn't talk to everyone at the post-coronation celebration then where you are honored.

Um, if you've been at the post-coronation celebration, then you missed Alistair telling you what happened to your brother.Time Spiral wrote...

Not to mention also missing the brother himself.

Maybe you didn't read the original post? That page is essentially useless. I appreciate the effort though!

That's the thing though. Even if the OP missed Fergus, it's hard to miss Alistair saying "Hey look! It's Fergus! He survived and he's getting Highever back! Yay!" Or something to that effect.Santala wrote...

I'm guessing you haven't noticed that "Click here for information that reveals the plot and storyline." part on the wiki page.

That happened to me on my first game. I was distracted with Anora telling me that there was a crowd that was waiting for me outside so I went there, thinking there was more to the game. Didn't even notice my companions in the clusters as I passed. Now I make a save when I show up in the throne room so I can go back and talk to them anytime.Time Spiral wrote...
Yeah ... I accidentally stepped outside not realizing I could not go back into that room.

(I had a human noble ending saved. Alistair didn't say to my warden about Fergus.)
Fergus starts off with saying that when he heard his little sibling was not only a Grey Warden, but leading Ferelden into battle, he was surprised. He says that father would have been proud, that he is as well, and the warden did good.
The warden has the dialogue options of 1) What happened to you? 2) I knew I should have looked harder for you 3) I'm sorry about your wife and kid and 4) I made Howe pay for what he did.
The first two leads to an explanation of his disappearance. He never made it to the battle at Ostagar because his group was attacked by the darkspawn. He was unconscious for two weeks and woke up in a chasind hut. He then tried to send word to Highever, but it was too late. The third option leads to him showing sorrow and regret on his face and he is trying to not think about them. And finally, he says Howe was a greedy, traitorous bastard and wished that he had been there to help you kill him. At least Amaranthine now belongs to the Grey Warden so there was some justice in that.
And he closes with needing to go back to Highever to clean up the mess and will he see the Warden there? Tells the Warden to take care or he'll nag at you just like mother did.

Maybe a glitch? I have three HNF playthroughs and both Alistair and Anora point out Fergus and mention HIghever.Gilsa wrote...

It's actually after Alistair (or Anora) grants the boon. He'll say that in addition to granting it, the Wardens will take Amaranthine and you get Highever back, and then he points out Fergus.Gilsa wrote...
You are right. Clicking on Alistair didn't say anything, but I had forgotten that it was probably included in the video leading up to the throne room and I just saved past that point. My bad.

Heh, three HNF playthroughs? By the stone, you need to play a dwarf -- puts hair on yer chest!
