The simpliest way to proceed : extract ww2ogg and afcextr in the same directory (example : "AudioExtraction"). Copy the afc files you want to extract in that directory and run the bat file.

In order to create the bat file, launch the notepad and put excactly these lines in it :

@echo off
for %%a in (*.afc) do afcextr "%%a"
for %%a in (*.wav) do ww2ogg "%%a" --full-setup
del *.wav

Save it as "ConvAll.bat"  (for instance) in your "AudioExtraction" directory.

I made an archive, you can dl It here. Read the _readme file and you'll be fine.

Thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for. You saved me plenty of time :)

I'm looking for the sound file of Garrus yelling "Scoped and dropped!". Would someone be willing to locate or possibly upload this for me?

Maris - I got it from YouTube: Dark Star music and then converted that into an MP3 using Videodroid (Google it). It may take a couple of attempts to download a perfect copy but I got one eventually (along with some tracks from the first game which didn't make it onto the music CD).

I assume no one knows how to extract game sounds alone? As in, when doors open, gun shots et cetera.

Yes, some items are just not extractable :-(   Maybe Gibbed updates the extractor, if the problem is fixable at all.

Those do not seem to be included in the audio packages, but maybe in the weapons .pcc files.

I haven't looked exactly, because on this PC I have neither the files, nor the game, nor the extractor ;-)
But the keycodes gr for Garrus and hench or global_hench should reduce the search to listening through just a bunch of files.

I really want to know how to extract the sound effects (upgrades, weapons firing, interface elements, etc.) I tried looking through the .pcc files and no luck finding audio files. :-(

A huge thank you. This was just what I needed to dig up some ambient music I was looking for.

J4N3_M3 kindly searched, found and extracted Garrus' 'scoped and dropped' line: http://www.mediafire...l83793qnm9vw7ar. The file name gives a nice example for the structure of the key words I initially explained: ...hench_garrus_ss_global_hench_garrus_00303187...

hench = spoken by Shep's team members

ss = battle cries, taunts, random talkin

global = not associated with a particular game area

and the unique ID at the end of the file name :-)

I have extracted all files so far, DLC audio files as well. If anyone needs a certain line in particular, feel free to ask.
Right now I am currently working my way through the me1 upk files to get the export-button in the tlk-viewer to work. Even though hearing is nice, reading is a cool thing as well and makes searching for things a lot easier.

I only have those for ME1.
I have to admit though, that I haven't listened to all my extracted Me2 audiofiles, but I know that some do have the ambient sound from missions. Upgrade sounds and the like though, I have yet to find for Me2

Imagen Enviada Awesome! Could you make a bittorrent out of it, please? At least for the DLC stuff, since that seems to be the hardest to extract.

I made an application for extracting .afc files to .ogg. It works in similar way to the Gibbed's one, but it can extract any .afc file (including DLC), not only preset ones.
Download it at: kypapps.co.cc/index.php/afc2ogg

can anyone specify exactly what to choose when you hit start and the program asks (elect a directory   for the files to be extracted to) please.
