I just finnished the Human Noble Origin last night and I must say that it was bether then I thought. I took it mostly because it felt like the right one to start with.
I was supriced at the deaths of the characters sister-in-law and her child, and I got tears in my eyes when I found them. For some reason I didnt expect them to get killed, I dont know why. Thats was the moment when I understood just how grown up this game was and that its not just your normal Adventure story. This is hard and cruel and it affected me. I can't wait to play the other Origins when I have finnished the game. :)

The only negative thing I found was the lack of importent dessisions during the Origin because no mather what you do or how you do it, it will allways end with your mother and father dying while you escape.
I would have wanted the option to save the mother or to just flee the castle and forget about the father or something like that. Or to save the Knight who helped med with the rats.
Now I dont klnow, maybe there was something I could have changed but missed but I dont think so.

But that was all. Exept for thoes things I really liked the Human Noble Origin.

What do you all think?

Man, I loved the Human Noble Origin. They really made you feel attached to the characters and made it feel like just another day in your life when suddenly BAM.

I felt sadder, I think, for my nephew than anyone else. I was really attached to the kid. I promised him I would teach him how to use a sword while his father was away...I never got to fulfill that promise, and that just...really tugged at my heartstrings, let me tell you. Plus, arguing with my mother was entertaining, because I could tell she just wanted me to settle down and be a proper lady and give her grandchildren already, but I wanted to go off to war instead. Then...she died. And my father's last words about me protecting my line and finding my brother--I introduced myself as Lady Cousland wherever I went, in hopes people would not forget.

So yeah, I'd say I loved the emotional aspect of the Human Noble Origin. I'm playing the Mage one right now, and it has yet to make me care as much so far.

I really liked that one, of course I haven't played them all yet thus far, just the Human Noble and Mage.

And yeah I was quite impressed by the story, I didn't know how they were going to approach the human noble one but they really did a great job of making it feel like your home suddenly torn asunder. I think it really is a credit to the writers and voice actors to make you feel attached to the characters in such a short time.

Honestly I'm liking the story telling of this game more than anything else, it seems like they've really captured the emotion that would be running in these situations.

I also like how characters and things from the origin stories come back in the man plot, makes it really feel like a continuous world to encounter people and places you knew before becoming a grey warden.

I loved it to pieces -- and was honestly, shamelessly choked up when it all went to pieces. :(

Really, I immediately felt "at home" in the Castle and bonded with all the characters -- especially, of course, the mabari, mom and dad, and Fergus. The place looks gorgeous and there's just a lot of atmosphere to soak up and fun banter to be had. It was really kickass when my character's mother suited up and fought through the traitors with me. "No Orlesian wallflower" indeed! And the way she stayed with her dying husband, how they call for their child to run ...

:crying:

I'd be honestly surprised if I end up loving the other origins as much. This one was perfect, if really horrible.

Same here. I really liked my new family and I expected to save them and have them to fo to later on and was shocked when it all just whent away. I knew that the Origin was about an attack, but I just didnt know that it would be an extermination.

And I must say, I REALLY hate Arl Howe. Im counting the hours untill I may seek revenge for what he has done. And I hate that I was so nice to him even if his betrail wasnt a suprice (for a bad guy he's really bad att pretending to be nice), I just didnt expect him to be so... evil. So cruel.

I also love this origin story.Though, I kind of regret that I played DA with another character (and origin) first -right until Denerim.

That way I already knew that Howe would side with Loghain...so when he was introduced to me first thing in the noble origin (and knowing that each origin will end up with you getting recruited by Duncan) I immediately suspected that our home would be sacked and Howe would betray my father.

From there on things were a little predictable. I knew that the lady in waiting wouldn't survive the night with me and that mother would probably die -along with everyone else.

Still, I really liked playing through this origin. Especially everything before nightfall. It just got that casual feeling to it. Like my character really had a place (s)he could call home. Didn't feel that connected to the other origins I played so far (mage and city elf).

My favrorite part was talking to the kid. "Don't worry, you'll see a sword up close soon. I promise." So evil and heartless, them writers. LOL
