Headed from brecilian forest to ostagar, and I've never encountered this before, and never got an explanation as to why it happened!

Did you side with the Templars during the Broken Cicle quest? I think that's the only time I've gotten this encounter.

I haven't seen you're screenshot yet because it won't load for some reason but I find it weird that you can get back to Ostagar because it is inaccessible after the opening scene where Duncan dies. Do you have the Return to Ostagar DLC?

Yup, you get this encounter (and one other) after siding with the Templars during the Broken Circle questline. I wish more random encounters were dependant on quest outcome - would add a lot to replayability.

Yup, you get this encounter (and one other) after siding with the Templars during the Broken Circle questline. I wish more random encounters were dependant on quest outcome - would add a lot to replayability.
Not entirely sure why siding with templars = "lol demons on road wut?"
Seeing as how the locked the mages up...
and the offering threw me off as well, a helmet and some bolts...(must be a weird god!)

Yea, I don't get that one either. You'd think demons would be more common with mages about. Helmet and bolts - maybe they worship the Tin Man.
