After getting through ME2 and seeing that humans are being incorperated to make new Reapers I suspect as has been proposed already, that species are changed into and live on as Reapers not as slaves. Its been said that you don't truly understand something until you can quantify it. And this has been true of everything from flight, to construction, to planting. Once its understood it is mechanized and imperfections slowly removed to arrive at the desired result more efficiently. This has been done with everything and eventually will be done with thought. Thought will be understood to the point where it can be mechanized and "freed of all imperfections". The Reapers are an evolutionary branch of any sentient specie.
The geth are better though because it seems to combine thought mechanization with a wider array of experience and more individual input from each person or "program". So you would have perception dictating experience and experience dictating perception for an individual and then that individuals thoughts available to everyother, adding experience which alters their perceptions. So individual and communal thought influence eachother simultaneously, allowing infinite thesis/antithesis/synthesis. I am looking forward to this in the Mass Effect and my universe. Who agrees?
Looking forward to geth masters.

I fully expected you to end that post with 'We are borg resistance is futile. We will add your individuality to our own. You will service us.' The only problem with becoming a machine in the vein you are describing is that you have to destroy who you are, phsyically and physiologically to do so. What does it profit a man, if he gain the whole universe but lose his soul? No thanks, I'm perfectly content being imperfect with my chaotic thought processes and non metallic squidlike body that I'd be forced to share with intellects of varying degree, all forced into thinking indoctrinated thoughts.

I figured you already knew resistance was futile. Also the geth don't seem to not have individuality other than the fact that their platform to program ration isn't 1to1. It seems like they just have the internet on steroids. They aren't controlled by anything other than a normal person is controlled by seeing something new or having a new experience.

It doesn't solve much. Perfect harmony is undesirable, for it offers no struggle. Struggle is the only way forward.

Harmony wouldn't be gauranteed. You would have an amalgum of perceptions, thoughts, and experiences in your head. If there was a fundamental disagreement about what to value and what not to that would continue to alter how you evaluate things based on the two opposing view points. Even Legion doesn't always "reach a concensus".
Even without networked thought, mechanized thought is still an improvement.

So at the end of ME3 we will become Geth/Human cyborgs linked into a neural network?
Awesome.
