Who is the Baroness?

She's apparently a villain. I approve! We need more female villains. And no, the archdemon does not count.
I'd guess she's not human. Does she have any relation to the Architect?

There's a villian in the game called the Baroness. I'd like to know more about her.
And no, it's not Isolde.
It's odd; there are no barons in Ferelden as there are no baronies.

"When it seemed all hope was lost, the Orlesian baroness that ruled those lands set out and presumably killed the Queen. However, some did not believe it, and rumors circulated that the baroness was a witch."
Edit: Ahhh, my intrepid internet skills led me to this:http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/dragon-age-origins/achievements/

Countess Elizabeth Bathory, the 'female' Dracula, is wildly rumored to have bathed in the blood of virgins in order to remain eternally young and beautiful.
This is impossible though, as blood quickly coagulates, and by the time you filled a bathtub, you'd be dealing with more solid than liquid. She could *shower* in the blood of virgins though.

Obviously it's not Isolde. Joke.
I thought it was funny, but you know someone would take it seriously.

The achievment is titled "Pride before the Fall" so perhaps it is the witch that got rid of the Queen of the Blackmarshes the first time around and she is a very arogant witch that you have no reason to beat but underestimates your abilities, or something like that. It is probably a boss of a quest where you collect the stuff needed to defeat her that she just left laying around due to here ego.
There is that gaunt, female mage in the trailer.

Absolutely a wild guess. I have no idea if Barons even exist in Ferelden heirarchy.

my Warden senses are tingling!!
For that matter, I can't even say that what is on Greywarden.com is even true - besides, spoilers should at least wait until the actual release occurs...
