I'm an anti-Cerberus renegade thank you very much. gimme that Alliance paintjob.
^ this right here. My renegade shepard tells TIM to go to hell every game. My shepard is a renegade, and does whatever is necessary to get the job done. Renegade =/= Evil, and renegade =/= stupid. Giving Cerberous any kind of power or respect is about equivelant to shooting yourself in the foot. That's why the line "Next thing i know you'll be wanting to build your own reaper" is a pretty convincing reason not to give TIM anything for both renegade and paragon playthroughs..

On the other hand, an SR3 would give more room for the 14+ squaddies (I know they won't all be back, but I can dream).
Also, the SR3 needs a lounge with the Asari bartender from Illium. That's non-negotiable.

It's still got some asskicking left in it, let it work out it's frustration.

The larger question is where does Sheppard get resources now? Someone needs to provide a dry dock, weapons etc. The Alliance / Council never believes there is a threat and doesn't seem interested in helping. Terminus systems unification maybe?

Soooooo...I hope BioWare doesn't come up with the ME3-Normandy=Reaper.
An even more limping Husk arround the former cockpit, a processor for highspeed-operations next to it and a weapon-configuration-system that's not big on forcing processes.
A genetically perfect husk sitting at a desk on the middledeck...a weapons-aggregate with turian mouthflaps next to it.
A geth/reaper-processer as an addition to the AI-Core, a Drell-Husk in the former life-support and a Scion with an asari-justicar-head as a sidemounted gun at the Normandy.
Down in the machine-room we had a computing-device with sheds of an environmental-suit on it, a Krogan-Husk pacing through the lower deck and a biotic-pulse-generator with tattoos.
And a Saren-MK2 Shepard-Reaper-Avatar.
And instead of "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL" EDI-Reaper would state "HUSKS ARE TICKELING MY INSIDES!" or "I KNOW, THIS IS A JOKE!"
Not to mention that BioWare would destroy all those interesting AI-Chars like EDI and Legion, who turned out to be very interesting.
All the chars we build up relations between our Shep-Char and them would be...well...gone. Destroyed! Utterly formed into aborminations.
That wouldn't even be emotionally engaging, that would outright suck.
If that's the case in ME3, I'd be off.
I'd like EDI or Normandy SR2.5 to be upgraded extensively. By all species Paragon-Shep helped or with technology from all Species Renegade-Shepard stole.

I just want to see a new ship model, more badass and maybe even a bit bigger and upgraded with the finest technology available. The looks and specs could even differ on your choice at the end of ME2. But it should stay a frigate and keep the superior maneuverability over a cruiser or even a dreadnought, which would be totally retarded.

I don't see the need for a new ship. The SR-2 is fine. Just have Shepard take it for repairs and a refit in the interim between ME2 and ME3. He can convert part of it into an officer's lounge, then invite Matriarch Aethyta to come and tend bar.
It doesn't need repairing, between looking at the Harbinger datapad and going on your next mission, ( in other words during the end credits ), the Normany miraculously fixes it'self, everyone forgets that we've already finished the suicide mission and everyone on board still loves Cerberus.

The ship looks big but the interior kind of contradicts that, and where do all those crew members sleep and eat? There aren't enough beds!
Yes there are. I actually got curious and counted.

I've noticed that this forum is afraid of change.
There is a diffrence between changing the combat system so it plays better and is more fluid to giving a new ship (which if you played properly the SR2 is upgraded and can rival a cruiser) just so you can have things like a bar and such. Theres no point and it's just stupid.
kraidy1117 wrote...
...I think the reason why no one
likes this idea is because it would be rehashing ME2 again, thats like
BW killing Shepard off at the start of ME3 would all so cause alot of
tension here...
exactly, rehashing is just silly, it's a perfectly good ship we've got, any improvements we need can be done with a refit (and a new paint job, hopefully, in my case) with a solid crew, even if some of them are a bit pro-human (and we can work on those attitudes, if Miranda can have a big enough viewpoint change to tell TIM to frell himself in the end, then Kelly, Ken and Gabby et al. can definitely be persuaded that alien interests and human interests aren't mutually exclusive)
agreed, but I don't think Bioware will be quite so nice as to place the Quib-quib under our command:(Krajj54 wrote...
Likely outcome: SR-2 is tweaked for ME3
with minor upgrades, ends up with you even if you told Cerberus to
screw off or not. Paint job would be nice if you're not a big Cerberus
fan (Paragon)
Best outcome: SR-2 is destroyed and Shep is given the Quib Quib as a gift from the quarians to stop the reapers.

It would be a way to get the crew together/talking. (extra party banter! <3) and you'll know where to find them...
have a vid-screen(mute optional), music even, bar/kitchen area, lighting change to low/drab for 'space-resttime', classy looking, big window seats, each crew member having their own fav-spot in the room.

But as for a whole new ship that would be very strange and if it became too big it wouldn't even be a war ship anymore, just a civilian cruise ship for your team.

Eh to me the SR-2 is a vulgar Cerberus knockoff and always will be.
If it were up to me I'd be flying in a rebuilt SR-1.
It's bigger and better. Faster. Heavier armor. Heavier guns. Bigger drive core. Better shields.
What exactly about it is vulgar? It's better in every way except cost.

When I read 'vulgar,' I interpreted it more as a perversion of the first Normandy. The SR1 was a joint project built in cooperation between species. The SR2 ... not so much. While I do like the SR2, I think it really should've been given a different name, as it tramples on the SR1.
