Hi guys. I have bought the Dragon age awakening expansion pack from the steam service. And I'm wonderring why it doesn't appear under my games tab. Or is it like the rest of the dlc wich will appear inside from the game menu?
Any others experiencing the same?
-I'm sorry if this is not the right category for my post.
Awakening is not released yet, you have just pre-ordered it.

What a nightmare this game has turned out to be!!!
All was well til I added a 2nd HD & re-installed via Steam, now I can't even play my saved games cus the DLC is "Unauthorized":wizard: which is really funny cus I'm still logged in as the same online person & this is my char wearing the DLC that I'm not authorized to use! lol social.bioware.com/da_game_screenshots/629000/628020/Sporin_378757.jpg
I've tried all Kepha's posts, tried the DLC help (inc. all the CMD commands) & nothing... naadaa... zip! Guess I just need to start from scratch & not use the DLC. (Yes, I feel robbed!).
With the second harddrive, did you move where Dragon Age was installed too? If so, see section 5 of the DLC In-Game Errors FAQ, you may need to update the registry to point to the Content Update service in the right location.

I know. but it's odd that it dosn't appear like an actual game as other expansions does.

Yeah it was moved, still not sure where or when it went awol but... the good news is, I was able to get my DLC working again after a re-install & using your link to manually set up my services (my bet is it was to do with the services all along, even tho the address was correct (so it said anyway lol)).
Lost all my chars but at least I can play with everything working again, thx for your help Kepha.
You've made an old man very happy!!! ty.

We’re happy to announce that the boxed/retail PC version of Dragon Age: Origins will use only a basic disk check and it will not require online authentication. In other words, the retail PC version of the game won’t require you to go online to authenticate the game for offline play. We have chosen not to use SecuROM in any version of Dragon Age that is distributed by EA or BioWare.
Some other cool stuff that we hope you’ll like - we have already launched the Dragon Age toolset beta, which offers developer-grade tools, and we’re looking forward to what fans will create with it. We’ll also be supporting the game with a ton of great downloadable content that will be available for purchase after the game’s release. Together these features will provide some very cool reasons to go online with Dragon Age: Origins.
We’re really excited as we head towards the release of Dragon Age: Origins this fall on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, so keep an eye out for more news as we’ll be providing you with more details shortly.

---------------------
So while they were cashing in on "cd-check only, no online authentication" they failed to mention that the real DRM was present in the DLC.
Even worse, they mention the DLC but fail to mention that it contains DRM.
I am just suprised how few people are mad about this.

1.I redeemed my codes for "The stone Prisoner" got it downloded and it couldn't get installed.
2.While reading this thread I saw that the game was up to version 1.02 but didn't see any updater on my game, how do I update my game version?
*Edited*
Now it's asking for version 1.0 to install and my game is still 1.0...????

You likely just have a general DLC installation problem, only Return to Ostagar has any version requirement. (And you can find the latest patch at http://social.biowar...page/da-patches)
See the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ for the comprehensive DLC Downloading and installation guide, but here are a few quick things to try (these are all in the FAQ somehwere).
* Go into the Configuration Utility and go to Repair and click Clear Download Cache.
* Delete the manifest.xml and addins.xml file from My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings
* Make sure the physical location of your My Documents directory is on the C: drive
* Set Windows Region and Language Settings to English (United States)
If all else fails there are links to manually download and install the DLC in the FAQ. Even if that doesn't work, manual install will often give better error messages that help figure out what the problem might be.

Now, the game won't even recognize that I bought both add-ons. Not even on my online profile has a list of all my DLC anymore. There seems to be no way to download them, let alone prove that I bought them.
I do, however, have proof that I received the bioware points. I can also prove that the point total I bought (1600) is now reduced by exactly the amount needed to get Warden's Keep (400) and Return to Ostagar (560). Could anyone point me in the direction of a possible solution?
Much appreciated

I just purchased some bioware points to buy both Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar. I then launched the game, logged into my account, bought both add-ons, and started the downloads. When they seemed stuck at 0%, I quit the game, and went to these boards to see if anything was amiss. After reading a few of the comments in this thread, I entered the configuration via the launcher, went to 'repair' and cleared my cache, thinking that might solve my problem. Not so much.

First, are Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar listed on your Registered Game Promotions Page? Make sure you are logged in with the same email address and password you used in the game when you bought them. If they don't show up on that page, that is a problem you'll have to take up with EA Support. If you go to the Points website you can go to Points Statement and it should list all your transactions that have been done with points.
If they do show up on your Registered Game Promotions Page then all you have is a technical problem getting the game to recognize what content your own. As a first step make sure that the Dragon Age Origins Content Update service is running before you start the game:
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START
There is more advanced DLC download and install troubleshooting in the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ.

Nope, all my DLC had disappeared. This happened after I deleted the offer.xml file from my /documents/bioware directory, as suggested in the first post of this thread.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START
This trick helped. The DLC reappeared, and is downloading as we speak.
I appreciate the quick and helpful response. Much obliged.

Not sure if this is where I would post this problem or not, but.. I was interested in buying some points to get the DLC, when I went to punch in my Credit Card info, its telling me the card could not be verified.. I understand this means something was typed in wrong. I have carefully re entered the information 10 times or so, and still getting the same message.. I used the card on one of my MMO's that require a monthly fee, and the it worked.. is there a issue going on with the purchase point system, Checked Forums and couldnt find any information on it if so, so if I'm wasting time, any help?

When I try to purchase RtO, it says "Sorry, your request could not be completed at this time. Please try again."
I have cleared my cache as instructed by customer service, but it has yet to solve any problems.
Than there solution for it was buy more Bioware points.......
I have tried purchasing RtO for over a week now, and it just gives me the same message over and over again.
