I have several questions.
1. Why is it that although I am logged in, I cannot send a request for email support? It says my screen name and/or password is invalid. If this is so, how is it that I am here and posting this message?
2. Why can't I register my game? Are you claiming Luke AFB is selling bootleg games in the base exchange? I think not.

1) Use your email address as the username. You're logging into the EA account that is linked with your account here when you contact support, and EA accounts use email address.
2) There are currently some server issues preventing game registration (as well as a few other things.)

I have talked to support on the phone and was informed of the following:
I can only register the game if the computer I play the game on is hooked to the internet.
In other words, since the computer I have the game installed on is not connected to the internet I can't even register the game. This means I can't download the toolset because the game must be registered in order to download the toolset. Support said this is clearly stated on the outside of the box, on the back in fine print. Not on MY box .
It goes without saying that with this type of bull being pulled, I will never ever again in my life purchase a game that has EA or Bioware on it.

There are two types of registration in play here, and I think EA support was only talking about one.
You need to be connected to the internet to "register" the game from EA's standpoint. Like most software registrations these days, but won't really effect your use of the game. It just puts you on a mailing list, and allows you access to support.
However to download the toolset, you only need to register the game on this site. Enter you CD Key on the http://social.biowar...es_register.php page (now that the server should be working again), and then you will be able to download the toolset.

I just got this game for PC tonight. I came home and started to install it and it asked for my registration key. I typed it all in and it worked fine. The game's great so far, but when I come onto the Bioware Social Network thing, I can't register my game on the site. It says that it's not a valid code. I've tried numerous times just to be sure I'm not missing something.
What are the benefits of registering my copy on this site anyway?
Also, I installed DA on my desktop. Is there a way to install it on my laptop too? I don't want to buy another copy, but I like not being restricted to one room in the house.
Thanks in advance!

BTW, What_a_Crock, I was just looking at the back of my manual and EA support was completely wrong with what they told you. If you want to register your game with EA you can do it at https://ea.onlineregister.com/. So you don't need your game computer connected to the internet to do either type of registration.
NateAndStuf, try and register again, there were some server problems earlier that should be resolved now.

Kepha, I went to the page you listed, "registered" my game without it asking for a CD key. All it asked for was the platform and game to register. I answered both, it said thank you for registering your game and gave me the option to go elsewhere. Since it never asked for a CD key I don't understand the purpose of that page and why they created it.
Went to the download page and it said I had to register the game. I clicked on the register game button (since you NateandStuff it was fixed) and yes, it was fixed and the game is now registered and the ability to access the download page for the toolset exists.
Since support doesn't know what they are talking about, you might know the answer to this question. Since I only have a 56k modem, does this file download as a file that you install on your computer or does it only download to the computer if the game is installed on that computer? If it downloads as a file that you install I can go to the library and download it on their high speed internet to a flash drive, bring it home and install it.
Thankyou for taking your time to help us. I am a grumpy old man but do appreciate your efforts.

The toolset download is an install executable, and if you want the source files a .zip file, so both of those should be fine to download to a flash drive.
