And just my opinion but I prefer our sexy blonde elven assassin over the brunette mod any day.   But still, I LOVE that screenshot!

Yeah the Mod I use is at the DragonAgeNexus (search for ASKs Zevran or use the link). I don't know if it's at the social site here. There are a few versions, so I picked the one with Duncan's hair and a serious business goatee. There are some others.

There are other mods there for bodies and cutscenes and stuff. It's up to your taste and preference, but there are well done and tasteful scenes in even the raunchiest mods. Since those definitely involve nudity, just look on the Nexus top 50 DLs.

I think Leliana is a complete wing nut...but to me, she is smoldering hot! I love to hear her talk and constantly find myself running to protect her in combat. Wierd. The thing that I really appreciate about her is that, unlike the socially retarded swamp troglodyte, Lel actually has proper affect and consistency in her approvals/disapprovals of your actions. It was a welcome change from my emotionally unbalanced mage who talks a good game about freedom, but had no issue whatsoever in enslaving souls to the Anvil or Elves to the Imperium.

Now, there's an opinion that's about as objective as any other.

Oh yeah BTW, I'm straight and I like the hell out of Zevran too, which takes a little more effort than Leliana if you are merely friends and comarades in arms.

Now, regardless of how one feels about either, and since this is a justify Lel thread (and we may as well include my buddy Zev), I think we should at least mention that these two are first class damage agents in battle. Leliana with high dex, Marjolaine's Recurve and Arrow of Slaying...holy hell, nothing quite like watching the 400 and 500s fly out of Elite-level enemies; and Zevran with high dex and Stealth, makes 3-4 hits for each swing my Warden takes as a shield warrior. He is truly a death by a thousand cuts warrior. Amazing. If you can't at least appreciate this about either of them, well, you just don't like them, and good for you.

Oh yeah, and leeboi2, you appear to be about as socially retarded as Morrigan, you're just not nearly as interesting or smart.

Well, shame on them for the attitude that any dissenting opinion is automatically an attack. I only called you on heckling where you said such and were using unrelated things like personal religious views (or lack thereof) should affect if they like Leliana or not. If you want to debate/compare our interpretations/views on Leliana? Cool, that's fine - I don't mind if you disagree with me. But if you're trying to attack or make assumptions of me/others as people solely because we happen to like Leliana? I'm going to take that as meaning you're trying to flame bait or similar, and therefore ignore anything Leliana related you say as simple baiting rather than intent at debate/intelligent discussion.

It's more about attitude than which characters we like or dislike, I suppose is what I'm trying to say.

On, and in regards to facial hair on elves... Do you mean full on beards, or just the stubble? Because if you have the PC version, you can just use the toolset to make a custom head with stubble. The beards won't work on elves, but stubble will - will work on anyone, actually. Male, female, child, elf, human, qunari... Kind of funny, really.

Ok, I've gotta say it: Everytime I talk to Leliana and she scrunches up her face so her forehead has more creases in it than a... uh... really... creasy... thing... I just kind of have to wonder why people find her so physically attractive. Depending on the lighting and her facial expression she can look older than Wynne.

She gets deep creases in her forehead, creases in the corners of her eyes, creases on her lips.

Not to mention her facial shape looks nothing like either the original model (whom is hot as hell), nor like she does in the sacred ashes trailer.

I mean, she's not like, hideous, but I just can't see her as anything more than average, and I don't get the defenders all calling her beautiful or pretty or 'cute redhead' (implying cute in a physical sense and not a 'tee hee I am such a girl' sense).

It confuses me.

Actually, everyone gets those face scrunches. I think the reason they're so obvious on Leliana is because she's got a much more... Eh, I suppose you could call it "baby face"? when she's relaxed. It is glaringly obvious on her though - at least on my PC. On the Xbox... Not so much.

I suppose they either just ignore it or aren't bothered by it. And the whole "personal tastes" coming into the picture again.

I think it's more that she's more expressive in general.  Morrigan, Zev, and Alistair get them less often because they rarely make facial expressions that make them pop up, while Leliana does pretty much all the time.

But yes, there's also that her face doesn't seem to suit the wrinkles as much, too.  I'm sure that makes it stand out as well.

Edit: Though that's kind of beside the point.  The point being I find pretty much every other non-dwarven female character (and some of the dwarves [Adal Helmi in the gold armor?  Yeah I'd hit it, I admit it]) to be more attractive than Leliana and it baffles me that she's seen as so attractive.

Yes, but someone else might find those dwarven women butt ugly. Different people find different facial structures and aspects attractive. What is baffling to you is obvious to others. Myself, I don't find Leliana particularly prettier or uglier than any other in-game woman.

That's true. It's just that my tastes normally aren't so far off the norm, and when they are I can at least see where someone's coming from. And seeing her as not really more/less attractive than anyone else doesn't confuse me either.

It's just a few people have called her hot/beautiful/etc. which, to me, implied that they found her more attractive than most of the other in game women, which kind of confuses me.

Basically I'd just like to hear why beyond "Red heads are hot" or some such nonsense.

Speaking of--Was anyone else playing a female red head during Leliana's loyalty quest? When one of the NPC's says something along the lines of "Get the cute readhead" or somesuch (I don't recall exactly)?

'cause I was a bit offended when Leliana immediately assumed it MUST'VE been her.

My tastes are WAY off from the American "handsome/beautiful" ideal as most see it, so I suppose I'm used to my tastes not lining up with others'.

I dunno. Maybe some are just obsessed with anything with boobs in a game? Female characters in video games were getting called hot and beautiful when graphics were still blocky and crap.

Bahaha! XD Actually, my only female Warden was a redhead, so I was vastly amused by that line. I chose "He probably means you, yes." just to be a smartass.

I also constantly confused my portrait with hers, as I was playing the game on an Xbox with a small TV screen across the room at the time. Made making out details difficult.

EDIT: Oh, and the actual line is "kill the little redheaded girl"

Could have sworn there was a reference to her being pretty, too.  Might be misremembering.

I forgot you needed to take Lel out of camp on my last (rogue) play through and so I was like "Man why isn't her loyalty quest rising, she must not like me enough even though I'm out of conversation options and presents".

Then I realized the reason but at that point it was a bit late.

I have the opposite problem. I get to the point where companions' personal quests are ready, but I want to hold off on them. Yet I forget that if they're in the active party, appropriate encounters happen and then they come up on me when I'm not ready. Hurr hurr durp durp me. Nice job with that short term memory.

The idea that I'd judge her attractiveness by the number of wrinkles that appear when she talks is an odd one to me. Her face only exists as a concept - the in-game face, the concept art, and the blur trailer are all different expressions of that concept.

I get all that, I was talking more about the people claiming she's physically attractive to a greater extent than the majority of female characters.

And yes, while I do often find myself not finding people attractive while others do (and despite my joking, I have been attracted to people others don't like), as I said, I can USUALLY look at them and be like, "Well, yeah, ok, I see why you might prefer/not prefer x set of physical traits over y set of physical traits."  I seek only to understand, not insult.

I call for the motion that "Schmooples" officially become a slang term for "penis." In a derogatory connotation or not is up to others.
