I imagine Leliana giving her boyfriend's schmooples all sorts of embarassingly cute names.

As far as I'm concerned, she does it constantly to my avatar mage - much to his dismay.

I think Leliana is a complete wing nut...but to me, she is smoldering hot! I love to hear her talk and constantly find myself running to protect her in combat. Wierd. The thing that I really appreciate about her is that, unlike the socially retarded swamp troglodyte, Lel actually has proper affect and consistency in her approvals/disapprovals of your actions. It was a welcome change from my emotionally unbalanced mage who talks a good game about freedom, but had no issue whatsoever in enslaving souls to the Anvil or Elves to the Imperium.

Now, there's an opinion that's about as objective as any other.

Oh yeah BTW, I'm straight and I like the hell out of Zevran too, which takes a little more effort than Leliana if you are merely friends and comarades in arms.

Now, regardless of how one feels about either, and since this is a justify Lel thread (and we may as well include my buddy Zev), I think we should at least mention that these two are first class damage agents in battle. Leliana with high dex, Marjolaine's Recurve and Arrow of Slaying...holy hell, nothing quite like watching the 400 and 500s fly out of Elite-level enemies; and Zevran with high dex and Stealth, makes 3-4 hits for each swing my Warden takes as a shield warrior. He is truly a death by a thousand cuts warrior. Amazing. If you can't at least appreciate this about either of them, well, you just don't like them, and good for you.

Oh yeah, and leeboi2, you appear to be about as socially retarded as Morrigan, you're just not nearly as interesting or smart.

I have to agree with this assesment regardless of what thier orientations are when it to making things stop moving they do an awesome job. With my sword and board warrior walking into a room casting a taunt and watching the mobs i select usually die before i get a chance to hit it is impressive work. I for one will not argue with the results, or for this matter the package. I usually use Leliana unless i run a rogue which i have only made one, so i need locks picked and since Leliana and Zeveran both can i usually go with the eye candy. As a male i prefer Leliana over Zeveran purely for cosmetic reasons, yea i know SHALLOW me, but hey i will admit it every time. Oddly enough Bioware did an excellent with both characters so while their stories may be slightly different they both are quality characters, and have sufficient depth to make using either one a rewarding experience. In other words it matters not which you use as both are rwearding in thier own ways. As i also run female characters most of the time, i made one male mage for witch gone wild then deleted him after, I preffer the pretty, the sexy, the hawt, whenever i can get it.

So if the class i play allows i usually take all the fems in the party and do most of the game with them (i have learned how to tune out Morrigan and pace the gifts to keep approval up) Wynne to heal, Morrigan B/U heals and DPS, Leliana DPS and locks, and my hotty. If i play a mage I swap places with Morrigan and let Shale tank, which incedentally is the most devistaing group. Morrigan is way high maintinence so much more so than the other characters which is why she has MORE gifts, if she did not the I Image IPB Morrigan fan club would be storming Bioware headquarters in a scene reminicent of the archdemon assault. (I should not be teasing them to much they are like the Tali fans in ME, they scare me, they will drive by and TP your houseImage IPB)

In the end i think it is mostly just people talking out thier asses, i am not completely innocent either, it really boils down to a comfort level. Zeveran makes some people uncomfortable by what he represents, so they take safe route. I suppose there is nothing wrong with that as long as you are honest with yourself about the reasons behind the choices and are not hostile to people and thier reasons.

Have you noticed that none of the characters have tongues?

Oh, God. now I'll never not notice this. First, someone pointed out how odd female arms look and now this. I need to stay away from the boards.

Also, re: wrinkles. I just noticed them on Leliana, too,but I noticed them on Zevran first. I initially thought he looked and sounded 45 years older than all other romance characters, but now he's my favorite. I guess I don't have anything useful to add.

Oh, topic. I can justify letting any character tag along because my PC is a completionist.

They have to have tongues. Shale says so, and Shale wouldn't lie. We just can't...uhm... see them. Yeah.

Not quite sure why it has to be one or the other ... I loved both Zev and Lil - they were awesome.

The fact that you don't find her sweet, the fact she manipulates, views on elves? Those are valid opinions and/or points, and while I might disagree on some interpretations (I do in fact find her sweet, despite her faults), or I'm not as bothered by the facts like manipulations, etc - are personal tastes/views. It does not make my view any more valid than yours, or vice-versa.

On, and in regards to facial hair on elves... Do you mean full on beards, or just the stubble? Because if you have the PC version, you can just use the toolset to make a custom head with stubble. The beards won't work on elves, but stubble will - will work on anyone, actually. Male, female, child, elf, human, qunari... Kind of funny, really.

Hmm. I did not know that about the stubble. I may need to give it a try.

Sometimes Leliana can be sweet. A little too sweet in fact, which given her background makes me think she's trying to play me. I am not played.

Ha! I certainly can't fault anyone who finds her too sweet. She's definitely a bit of an acquired taste, I think.

Good luck with it. You should be able to get a decent goatee with it. It's just too bad the full-on beards don't work. I guess since the stubble's counted as a skin/blending thing it missed getting "locked" for elves or something.

I always assumed the lack of tongue was why the FemPC/Leliana sex scene was so… awkward. You’ve got to work with what the Maker gives you.

The Maker gives women strap-ons or some other such sex toys so they can do those otherwise rather heterosexual-ish pelvic thrusts?

But putting on a show for the rest of the party camp IS sharing your blessings!

Carbonated beverages through the nasal cavities also have that effect. But pasta noodles through the nose just feel awkward.

I speak on both from personal experience. :pinched:

@Ahisgewaya,you should go back and change that 'obnoxious' to anti-sarcasm, it's really lame. And cease your antagonism of people who like Leliana, people are entitled to their opinions, but forcing false logic down on people will get you no friendships from me. This is no forum to be reduced to petty fights and sarcastic bitterness.Hostility will not be tolerated. On anyone's front. What's more is that the fact you set these reasonings that are totally stubborn and unsound. Why?

Anti-sarcasm is an interesting word. Oh, wait, no it's not. If you want to insult me use real words please. I didn't know you had multiple friendships to hand out. I have plenty though so no need to give me any of yours. Thanks for the offer though.

Good greif.  <_<

At the end of the day, do any of us want to fight? More so, should we?

No. If I came across as obstinate, consider that your way of your opinion being expressed put me off, and previous events on that day. Your opinion is yours to express, but its the way you do it that set me off. Everyone is to their own in the end. I have no intentions of being at ill ends with anyone. For what its worth, I'm sorry.

It was never indented to be a fight. Just a comparison. It shouldn't be a fight at all.

No, I'm completely serious. Six or so years ago, I pulled a pasta noodle out of my nose. Not because I wanted to, mind you. I was eating dinner and somehow one of the noodles got wrapped around my uvula (the dangly-thingy at the back of your throat). I drank water/coughed to try and get it unstuck, and it seemed to work.

Apparently, somehow that method made it go up into my nasal cavity.

A few minutes later, I had the urge to sneeze. I did, and realized I seemed to have some snot forming. So I got a tissue to take care of it. Imagine my surprise as I wiped my nose and instead of removing boogers, I begun pulling a noodle out of my nostril.

It didn't hurt, but it was one of the strangest sensations I've ever had in my life. I really don't quite know how to describe the feeling.

And that, my friends, is my TMI story of the day.

On a random Leliana note, I was talking to the hermit last night, and I'd never bothered going through all his questions before. So the last one about Val Royeaux, I was a little disappointed that Leliana didn't speak up when he asked about it. Could have been a touching moment with her and the hermit. =P

 I don't think I have any more TMI stories about me, personally, that are also funny anyway.

Also, Nonvita, you might be interested/amused by this. ;)

As for the Leliana thing... There were plenty of times I wish companions interjected more. Even though they do more often than other games, it never seems like enough. We're demanding fans, aren't we?

D'awwww! You realize the more embarassed he gets, the more I'm going to bug him. ;)

And it did occur to me that I'm just being selfish about companion interjections. But then I thought, "Me, selfish? Never!"

Still, Leliana does make me want to see Orlais, even if it is filled with pointy-shoed, pigeon-haired, fancy-pants nobles.

Oh, I think almost all of us as fans are a little selfish when it comes to the characters. Just goes to show what a great job the writers did. :D

I want to see Orlais too! ... And it will make my day if it has a castle full of taunting knights that catapault livestock at their enemies.
