If you like Roman/Greek Mythology, GoW is really off base in many things.

If you like to emphasize with your character, Kratos is an A-hole so again off base.

If you like to play action games in an epic setting, then GoW hits the spot regardless of the above.

God of War is Greek/Greek. Roman mythology is a phenomenon on its own and quite different from the Greek one.

GoW confuses Romanized interpretations of the Gods in their depictions of them, therefore I included Roman.

Romanized like what? It was the Romans who helenized their own gods equating them with Greek ones. The name is relatively irrelevant (every god had a miriad of names); but the traits are not.

If Hades/Pluto was interpreted Roman style, he´d be the patron the miners and the underground wealth, not a god of the afterlife.

No, what I mean is that their artistic representation is Romanized. The GoW design itself is romanized as the models that they have used are closer to Roman representations than the Greek ones.

It's a pity that GOW3 had such an awful ending... why can't writers seem to wrap up anything anymore?

They want money. Why end a story where it would make sense when another sequel can be made to rake in more cash instead? It reminds me of this video: Linkage
