People like what they like and I don't know why that bothers people so much. You don't see me going around and creating a "Why do people like Kaiden/Ashley/Jack?" thread everyday just because I'm not interested in them.

Its like why does the angry one like Kaidan? (who I find one of the worst characters Bioware has made) to why I like miranda, to some people like Jack. It all comes to taste. Too me Tali is like a little sister. I love her character but I think she is the best romance let alone best character, no. To me the best character is TIM.

Are you seriously asking people to validate a personal choice which is no better or worse than any other?



Each of these characters have certain qualities that stand out to a certain demographic. It just happens that whatever stands out about her has reached a larger/more vocal part of the fan base than the others. There is nothing to say she is better than the other LI, but the is also nothing to say she is worse.



I personally can't stand Ashley but I can see why another person would enjoy and become a fan of that character. That is the great thing about an opinion, everyone can have one.

I am not a Tali fan; I don't love Tali but I don't hate her either. People are more than welcomed to express how they feel -- go ahead. I just can't believe some people are still hung over it. It doesn't hinder me, but it shouldn't matter so much why they need to know why people love Tali and they don't. I don't know why entirely myself other than from what I've read from threads. Everyone has their own interests and they see something about her, and they can love or hate her. That's their provocative; however, I suppose I can understand the curiosity... that's human nature after all.

I remember once I argued with a guy around here on a similar topic he just summed it up as a personal feeling that inter-species relationship is wrong while I claim that so long as it's based on an affection between two sapient species with a similar degree of intelligence it's fine.
Come to think of it, his argument or feeling as well as OP's might very well apply to the way people conceive those with a different skin colour from them a few centuries ago...I'm just sayin.
