But yes, I too am pleased to see the gender-shift from the OC, where the girls were mages and archer rogues and the boys were warriors and melee rogues with the sole exception of Shale.

I really hope they do return, but I'm not sure how likely it is depending on where further expansions and sequels are set. And of course, whether they survive...

TBH, I'm always unsure of exactly how to refer to Shale's gender. I usually default to she, but Shale points out that, as a golem, Shale has no gender. However, 'it' is incredibly dehumanising, and Shale does have a person inside, and not because she ate him. Its a pity there isn't a common gender-neutral pronoun in English.

Well, s/he calls everyone else "it" so why can't we call him/her the same. I see Shale as an eloquent and interestingly verbal male.

I'm sure every time you're around females, sex is inevitable. It's impossible for males and females to be in the same place without constant sex.

After having someone so uniquely oxymoronical as Zevran, I'd love nothing more than your stereotypically badass assassin. Of course, people are probably tired of that too. Altair and Ezio be damned. <_<

Can't believe I just noticed; it looks like Mhairi will start out in cheapo chainmail armour. I'll have to remember to strip off Sten's massive plate set and import it with me in my inventory.

I didn't love or hate Ser Cautherian, and most playthroughs I used Leiliana as a melee rogue, so I am not doing overly excited about this new character. I like Sigrun the most so far, but I think that it is because we got a lot more information about her. I didn't want a "Ser Cautherian like" character. I wanted a " Sophia Dryden like" character without the demon thingie. I hope she is more like Sophia, then Cautherian.

No, she-Templar isn't a companion. They look kind of similar, though, and the shot of the female templar is in Mhairi's trailer. Mhairi has short black hair and the templar has a dark brown Anora 'do.

How could anyone be tired of the Hashashins?
The Antivan Crows fail compared to them. Scary people.
I actually went to Masyaf, and I was waiting for people to jump from the walls to their deaths just to prove a point.

Me 2 am making sure i have, warden commander armor set, juggernaut armor set, cailan's armor set and all the best weapons to go with it. and not start the game with new companion have cheapo stuff.

You must've missed the memo, but DLC armor isn't going to port over to Awakening. <_<

Well, its dragonbone heavy chainmail, so it may or may not be bad. I mean, its *technically* what my main wears too (albeit in Evon the Great's Mail + Wade's Superior Dragonscale). I'll definitely be putting her in some massive armour, though.

Watching her video makes me sad she won't be romanceable. Darn it bioware! make a good female character and punish us by not letting us romance her.
