OT, yeah, Grunt is great. Planning to use him through the entirety of my next playthrough to hear all of his awesomely bloodthirsty non sequitur.

I butchered that I know, but the line is awesome. I think he says it after his loyalty mission.

It cracked me up how if you walk by the burning bodies in Omega he's all "Anyone else hungry?", but he thinks the ramen on the Citadel is gross.

I think Grunt was written very well, he seems like a child you have to raise. He's a funny dude and he's a favorite among my squad.

I have a fondness for Grunt, I find him even more engaging than Wrex, and I loved Wrex.

I like Grunt because he's like a kid, learning about things. New things are funny to him but not to anyone else, but he doesn't understand that, so he's enthusiastic about everything.

My favorite grunt is if you take Zaeed on this mission too, they have a convo that goes like this:
Grunt: anyone else hungry
Zaeed: Is there any smell that doesn't make you hungry?
Grunt: I don't know yet

It would be nice to know what everyone else says. Lol, maybe I'll make a fake playthrough and use a save game to activate people early some time.

If you take Zaeed, Zaeed just casually asks if he has smelled ANYTHING that DOESN'T make him hungry. His reply is something like "Not yet".



Also, a quote from Wrex, regarding Grunt: "Next, you'll tell me he's a quint, and craps dark matter. Well, if that's what it takes to replace me."

This is easier for PC users too since you can get the characters earlier to unlock their hidden dialogue.

How is the PC game any different?

all of the dialogue files from old builds of the game are still there, meaning with a save game editor, you can get other squadmates eariler, and most will have dialogue for missions they normally cannot be taken on. IE. Jack was probably supposed to be recruitable later on, while Tali and Legion were both obtainable earlier (they both have dialogue for Garrus' recruitment).

also, taking Grunt into the plague zone:

"I don't get sick! *COUGH COUGH!*"

also, take him to the Blood Pack leader. he will say that Grunt needs to learn from his own kind, and then blows the head off the Vorcha next to him. Grunt will say "Shepard does all that and more!"

Wrex is older and wiser, but Grunt just has the enthusiasm of a puppy. A really BIG, ANGRY puppy. That likes smashing things.
