It cracked me up how if you walk by the burning bodies in Omega he's all "Anyone else hungry?", but he thinks the ramen on the Citadel is gross.

Bring Garrus along and when he says that then Garrus chews him out.

Shepard: "If I know Grunt, your answer's coming at muzzle velocity."

Grunt: "You do know Grunt."

Grunt is funny to have around, indeed.

As for comparing Grunt to Wrex - yep, I like Wrex better, but come on, give Grunt some time! Like, a thousand years.

I like that part when the Bloodpack leader in Garrus recruitment mission blows the head of his vorcha soldier to prove a point to Grunt......

Grunts anwser is something along the lines: Shepard can do that aswell...

Grunt is awesome I've never understood his lack of popularity. He is way more interesting than Tali, Liara and Jacob combined.

That's Garm. then he has the quads to whine about how Garrus is costing him a lot of manpower. Um. are you sure you're not just playing drinking games involving blowing the heads off of vorcha?

I have to admit, before the game's release, when they said Grunt was more bloodthirsty than Wrex I was worried It'd be kinda shallow, but he truly is awesome. I think I still prefer Wrex, but it's damn close...

Grunt was such a great addition.  The puppy comparison is apt; by the end of the game, he really is infinitely loyal.  He and Mordin have probably the best incidental dialogue in the game.  No matter what character I'm playing, I have a hard time not taking Grunt with me.

I was worried Grunt was only going to be a blind killing machine based on trailers before the game release, but he came across as a much more eloquent character and much less sure of himself. I liked him right away. Unfortunately, he's always compared to Wrex, as if you have to choose one and they can't coexist. It's like being told you have to choose Samara versus Liara. Tali versus Kal'Reegar. Garrus versus, uh, some other Turian. Because there can only be one Asari, Quarian, Turian, or Krogan character. Ever. Choose! CHOOSE OR A KITTEN DIES!

You know what would be "mindbreaking"?!

Wrex AND Grunt in your Squad in Mass Effect 3, ... I would actually feel sorry for the Reapers ... after we dealt with them of course. Those two are actually the only Squadmembers that can take on enemies as destructive as the player himself, which is quite a punch!

Grunt is a lot of fun, and I think I would take him over Wrex... There, I said it. Grunt is a lot more fun to have around, because there's more enthusiasm and his growth is interesting.

I was surprised at how he had basically no dialogue during Mordin's loyalty mission. I know he's designed to ignore the genophage, but he still should've had something to say.

Still, an all around awesome character, damn tough and kicks a lot of ass.

"Battlemaster, I have everything: clan, kin, and enemies to fight."

That is so freaking awesome! The trailers did not do Grunt justice. I was afraid he was going to be some mindless thug, but I was proven wrong.

"She's <Jack> blowing everything up! I like her!"

From a personality perspective, Grunt and Jack have the most incentive to remain as squadmates in ME3, as opposed to returning as a non-controllable crewmate or contact. They don't really have other skills than great combat abilities. I hope they'll both be back.

Yeah I now have a new found respect for Grunt as I'm taking him everywhere this playthrough. The only way to really get a feel of any character is to have them on your squad throughout the game. This is easier for PC users too since you can get the characters earlier to unlock their hidden dialogue.

How is the PC game any different?

Because we can Mod.  That's where all the vids are coming from that have characters like Legion, Tali, Samara and Thane doing quests from before Horizon.  We just go into the save game and flip a switch that has the character available to bring on missions even though we haven't recruited them yet.

"if I know Grunt your answer is coming at muzzle velocity."
"You do know Grunt.  This varren is dead."  BAMMM!!!

hmm you people know that you don't need to mod to get grunt before recruiting archangel right ? it's not like you HAVE to stop at omega first thing (or maybe just long to get a few updrades and/or mordin)

on the other hand i'm quite interested in knowing which other character that need a mod have dialogue in the "1st tier" of the game, meaning before horizon and if there is a thread for those mods... lauching my google fu for forums now hehe

I goddamn love Grunt.  People need to stop comparing him to Wrex.  They're two totally different characters.

Wrex is "superior" to Grunt?

We have dismissed that claim.

This! There both awsome, i can see why people are like that though poor Grunt is in the position of replacing Wrex a position that no caracter could fill and come out without burns. But Grunt is more than a replacement if you listen to what he has to say, and Grunt is one of my new favorites.

Truly awesome.

When my wimpy Engineer gal Shepard is surrounded by husks, she's smart enough to just run towards the walking Krogan meat shield and get behind him while he does his thing.

And when Grunt finds something that makes him not want to eat at the Japanese food stand in the Citadel. Hilarious. Also it was quite sad when the reality of Tuchanka didn't quite live up to the vision he had in his head.

It was sad when you got there and he calls it a dump i felt sorry for him, but when you do his loyalty mission and he looks around you can see the love, respect, ect in his face that he realy knew he is a Krogan and that made even me what to be there, Tuchanka is a dump but Bioware managed to make it feel like the stuff of legends at the same time.
